bed was comfortable, room large, plenty of coffee quiet except for road, room was clean and bedding fresh. Husband checked out and lady was very helpful and sent the invoice without fuss. We did nt have breakfast but it smelt good. As this place closed at 1830 and it was late we found a nice Indian Restaurant about 5 mins walk away Cardamom which I would recommend.

We were able to park easily and locate our room key exactly as instructed. When I booked the room I didn't realize that there was an annex to the property, so was surprised on entering how spacious it was and also that it had a small kitchen area that we hadn't expected. The hot drinks tray was very generously stocked with a very good selection (with instructions on how to replenish if necessary) so we could have more than one cup of tea :) We found the room very comfortable and quite and very well designed with good mirrors and convenient surfaces.
Martock is a quaint Somerset village. There is a pub in the village and this lovely hotel with wonderful dining.
Our daughter lives nearby as she is a tattoo artist in the next village South Petherton, so we come and stay here when we want to spend quality time with her. The hotel is spotless and has everything you could need. The staff are just lovely and cannot do enough for you.
The food in the hotel is yummy, the best tasting food - the chef should have an award
The bar doesn't open till 6pm so if you arrive early you can take a drink in your room, many of which have a patio or you could explore the area and pop into the local pub

Martock is a quiant town with not a lot going on, in fact the White Hart is probably the most lively place there but it is lovely if you want a quiet getaway. It is also about 3 miles away from the golf club and the Deveonshire Arms which, for me, was where a wedding was being held. This made the White Hart perfect for my trip.
We had a meal in the White Hart which was lovely and the rest of the food we ate was at the Devonshire Arms and the golf club, I would reccomend Martock to anyone
Location excellent for us . Had three cottages close to each other in lovely close . Ideal for us as family wedding nearby eight minute drive to the wedding venue White Barn Frogmary Farm . Table of six ( groom and friends ) had an excellent evening meal at the hotel the night before the wedding .
The cottage provided us with a combination of hotel care and the ability to be flexible. We’d come to the area for a family funeral and the cottage meant that we could have flexibility, a leisurely family meal and privacy while we caught up with each other and shared memories.
Unbelievable value for money, I will be back here whenever I stay in Somerset. Everything taken care of that you might need, plenty you wouldn't even find in £200+ hotel rooms. On my low budget I felt spoiled and looked after. Can't wait to return.
Very smart clean and well equipped room. Large comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good quality with a good range of options. A nice touch was that the mini bar prices were the same as the hotel bar.
