This was a gem. A very old building with interesting features.
* The room- Looks into the street. Spacious room. Pretty bed. Pretty fireplace feature. Delightfully wonky floors. A lovely staircase to the roll top bath. Large bathroom.
* The pub- pleasant staff. Tasty beer. Active fire basket in a pretty fireplace. The pleasant scent of a wood fire.
* Parking- on roadside until 8.30am. Paid day parking in centre of road max two hours using parking app.
Longer term parking I didn’t look for but apparently is behind Boots/Superdrug.
* Shops- lovely set of options. Shops typically opening 9 or 10am, mostly after ten.
Lovely town for independent shops. All on the main street.

Well situated for exploring the area.
The Funghi club was excellent, both in atmosphere, service and especially food.
The chef is to be congratulated.
Ask Italian lived up to its reputation.

A pretty little town with some nice shops & great countryside all around.
It is a tiny town but cute. You can walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes but, if you visit all the shops & coffee shops it can take most of the day.
There are also some nice villages & good pubs in the area. It's easy to walk miles if you want.

I cannot fault this hotel at all from the quaint surroundings to the excellent food and helpful owners. Perfect venue for us as we were visiting our son at nearby Tidworth barracks. We also found it was convenient for Stonehenge.

An attractive country town with excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants (not to mention an extraordinary number of fashion boutiques!). Excellent base for exploring/walking in the Marlborough Downs, with its prehistoric sites such as Avebury, and Savernake Forest.

We missed our Marlborough Sunday Lunch due to M4 closure, however there were quite a few restaurants open, including Rick Stein and Ask Italian. What more could we ask !! The historic town is delightful with quality shops. We will return and stay longer in the future. .

Marlborough is a delightful town.
Marlborough is a delightful town. It has history and several excellent places to eat. I highly recommend Franklyn's Wine Bar, Pino's Italian and the Crown and Ball Pub to name just three.
The Lamb Inn was very comfortable with an attentive staff and a delicious , hearty breakfast.
Can't wait to return.
