The location was excellent. The house overlooks the harbour and has ample parking. The layout of the house is very good and it was immaculate.
The hosts had left us a lot of necesssities such as milk, tea and coffee along with some treats including biscuits and wine. They were very generous.

A warm welcome on arrival, a comfortable room with a great view out across the sea to mainland Scotland and a most enjoyable meal in the busy restaurant. The food was good, the wine and whisky weren't outrageously priced, the staff were all brilliant and I enjoyed the general atmosphere. It's handy for the ferry to and from Mallaig.

Lovely room with all amenities. The views from the hotel are amazing. Dinner was delicious (recommend the mussels) as well as breakfast. The bar and leisure room have great atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and very helpful.

Friendly small town worth a couple of nights stop over if you're planning to take a ferry. A good base to visit the nearby sights of Arisaig, Glenfinnan, Morar. Several nice coffee shops and superb seafood at the Clachain Inn

I have been to Mallaig many times as is a great base to explore this area of scotland and to catch the ferries to the many islands along the west coast.
Malliag has a lovely bakehouse, some independent shops and the Clachan Inn is a lively pub, with friendly staff.

Quiet coastal town that we chose because the Isle of Skye seemed overpriced. Most of the restaurants cater to the daytime crowds so we had limited options at night but that was fine. We just returned before 7PM so that we could get better takeout.

I suppose it's handy for the Ferry. Since we were there a few years ago we felt it had gone not so friendly. We didn't see our hostess, only when she came for the money. Very impersonal. No food option. Hotel up the brae was nice for food. Let ourselves out the next morning. Felt it was a couldn't be bothered attitude. Wouldn't go again. Probably wouldn't visit Mallaig again.

Mallaig is an interesting place for a couple of days...a working harbour and small town with some tourist facilities. The ferry to Skye leaves from here several times a day and you can take boat trips from Mallaig itself. There are a couple of short local walks which are worth doing.
There's several eateries including a pub up the hill that does great pub grub and delicious cider and a take away fish and chip place.
The arrival by train along a beautiful scenic railway line is memorable...I think 2 days is long enough here though!

If you need to catch a ferry it perfect, besides that there is really not much there,a few shops and restaurants,so once you have walked the town, see the old steam train before it departs and had some fish and chips your done.
Great location. Comfy room and bed. Friendly staff. Perfect for my needs. I would and will be returning and using this hotel again. A little well stocked co-op is opposite of you need anything and a little bar is downstairs and next door
The room was perfect, comfortable, modern & clean. Staff were friendly & chatty. Hotel was the perfect location to catch the ferry in the morning. Delicious evening meal & breakfast also very tasty with a great selection.
Excellent location with a fantastic host. Visited Highlands over the years and stayed at a few excellent cottages and hotels and this one superseded many of them.
