Not a lot, the hotel was very grand, the grounds were beautiful, and it was quiet. The manager's reacted when we raised our concerns, but have since ignored my emails following up on the issues we experienced during our stay.

The location on the Thames River was particularly lovely. And the hotel building was quite beautiful. You could tell it was a very stately old building that the owners are working on getting updated. Damian was very nice and easy to talk to. The breakfast was basic but good. Easy check-in process.

Loved the wet room, great to get kettle and fridge in room as I was on a strange schedule. Lovely staff, and very accommodating as I had to change my dates due to my nephew arriving into this world unexpectingly early.

Boulters lock/monkey island and the new bridge to the other...
Boulters lock/monkey island and the new bridge to the other side of the river are musts to visit but the car park payment machine is dilapidated and wasn't taking cash nor my card. The town centre is good, the charity shops are well stocked with good quality items, banks are plentiful, parking isn't . Things will improve greatly when the Premier Inn opens because accommodation is otherwise appalling . Parking is always a problem . Busses and trains are readily available . White Waltham aerodrome is worth going to, there are a number of historic planes there . Ockwells Manor and Manor Lane are worth the drive . Cox Green school, the Barley Mow, and the fish and chip shop in Wessex way are a must, not necessarily in that order . What maidenhead needs is a reasonably priced multi storey car park in the town centre and a Tesco supermarket .

I only stayed one night, so didn't get to see much of Maidenhead. However, the length of my stay met my requirements and the position of the hotel - right on the riverside - could not have been better. Very pleasant indeed. Plenty of outdoor seating, with parasols, to sit alongside the water and enjoy a drink.
Easy access to Windsor, which was my ultimate destination the next day.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

Staff were very friendly and the place was very tidy. We had a minor problem when we first got there but they sorted it out for us immediately with no problem. Didn't manage to use the spa but the hotel itself was very cozy and homely. The bathroom in the Berkshire suite was amazing, lovely bath and shower. Bath fits 2 people very comfortably. The bed was also very comfy too. Tea/ coffee maker in the room was always stocked up with enough for my partner and I. Overall a very lovely stay and hopefully we'll be back again!😊
This hotel is in a good location for access to both Maidenhead and Marlow.
The staff were pleasant and welcoming.
The bathroom in the room was quite nice with a big rain shower.
Staff were open to trying to help with my issue with the room.
Breakfast served from 0700 to check out (I didn't get a chance to eat this due to my own time constraints)
Although the hotel would benefit from some updating, its location by the river more than makes up for it. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is excellent. I did not have a car, but the bus for Heathrow Airport leaves from a stop nearby and the town centre is a 15 minute walk or so.
Good location; within walking distance of town centre, yet relatively quiet because set back from road with lovely trees. Easy parking. Easy access to motorway system for onward travel. Nice clean room, good shower en suite.
