The hotel is not far from the centre of the town. Big positive that there is a free car park.
The breakfast was fine, with nice, efficient service. The building is characterful and quaint, the garden at the back very nice with good views.

Loved the style of the interior. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought and attention to detail into the property, with loads of little thoughtful touches and useful information, not to mention a little welcome gift for us and the dogs. We would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Breakfast was excellent, prepared to order. A good selection - fresh squeezed orange juice (at least it tasted fresh squeezed)! We picked a small room - so it was tight but comfy. Great shower. Lovely hosts. And nice bar area to hang out it.

The Museum was very interesting, must be one of the best for a small town.
A shame that the private fossil collection is not open one day in the middle of the week, through the winter.
My three day break was a great relaxation.

We have known Lyme for over 50 years. It has an incredible setting, great shops, a fascinating theatre, and good connections by bus to interesting places - and older readers of this review should make sure they bring their bus cards. It is steep, and it keeps you fit.

Personal reason for visit not as a tourist .
Personal reason for visit not as a tourist . Pleasant seaside town with all facilities for a nice weekend break . A lot of families seem to holiday here which is a 👍there is wide choice of accomodation options , watch opening times of shops - unless you want breakfast ! It’s a slog to find some shops open and the walk back to hotels ( this might be different in high season - I’ve ever only travelled outside of these times )
Wonderful views of Jurassic coast especially on sunny days . There seems to be plenty to do for the tourist visitors along the beach and harbour area with lots of food and drink options .
I have been here several time and do enjoy the town and its surrounding area

One must take time to marvel at the history, on so many levels. The timeline is mind boggling, all the way back to the Jurassic era! The Lyme Regis Museum is a must. Remember to open all the drawers, which house amazing treasures eg fossils found in this area. The Nags Head is a delightful tiny tavern and Rock Point Inn has a great menu and sea view. I had the hand picked scallops...absolutely delicious, with a glass of French white wine.

Lovely beach and harbour, walks for all abilities.
Lovely beach and harbour, walks for all abilities. Beach full of fossils to take away or just spot on the rocks. Going to Lyme Regis in early October we found alot of restaurants were only serving food in evening from Thursday through Sunday, and we arrived on Monday and left on Thursday. But still found extremely good fish and chips/Indian and Mediterranean on the days we were there. Lyme Regis main street is on a very steep hill, so maybe challenging for some. The town was very busy with coach's disgorging people during the day, but the evenings very quiet, huge difference, but very good.

Great hotel, full of character in a perfect location right in the centre of Lyme Regis, welcoming friendly staff. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for our daughter, both were clean and spacious. We chose to eat in the hotel on the evening of our stay and really enjoyed our meal. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and there was lots of space in the secure car park for our car. We would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Lyme Regis.
Beautiful b&b. The room was very nice. Felt like a bedroom rather than a hotel room... the staff were very friendly and great breakfast in the morning. The location is ideal for the area with a short walk to yhe beach. We both thought this was the perfect place to stay for our holiday in Lyme Regis
The location and friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. Unlike the last dog friendly hotel I stayed in the area they were relaxed about check in and check out and couldn’t do enough to help . Great breakfast and lovely unintrusive atmosphere.
There was a very welcome breakfast hamper. The location is convenient for walking into Lyme Regis; it’s downhill going & a steady uphill on return. We know Lyme so was aware of the walk back.
The bed & bedlinen. SuperKing bed, essential, but more than that the hosts invested in high thread count cotton on an expensive mattress - better than most 4 and 5 star hotels.
