I first stayed at this iconic IoM hotel in the early 90's, before I'd been to the island to watch the racing, so had fond memories of it. Have been in on several occasions since, but only for a drink - usually during the TT or MGP, but not to stay there. Since our team won the MGP last year, I was back on the island for the Winners Dinner which was a great night just down the road from the Empress. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, great staff and great views of Douglas Bay.

Staff were excellent, so friendly, could not do enough. Really accomadating and just generally brilliant. We were travelling with dogs, and not only was there no extra charge,.they put Blocked the room off next to us so there was no disturbance, staff in the restaurant even bought over a bit of grilled chicken for them.
A truly brilliant stay and fantastic staff,.would highly recommend.
