Don’t skip this amazing area. Staff was incredibly helpful with a memorable loop drive nearby called Drumbeg Loop, specifically Janet at the front desk.
The staff was wonderful and I think they made the stay perfect. Setting was gorgeous. Food in restaurant was excellent.
One of the best hotels we stayed in during the trip. A good value, too.

Breakfast was not provided. But Paul, the proprietor, picked me up from the side of the road when our car broke down, took me to the cottage, lit a fire, got the heaters going, brought in our luggage, and was so very kind to us. He offered to take us to Ullapool (1 hour drive) if needed due to the car breakdown.

A really beautiful part of Scotland especially in Autumn.
A really beautiful part of Scotland especially in Autumn. Only a small place, as so many are, but perfect for walking/hiking or just enjoying the scenery. The ideal pit stop on the NC500.
Some lovely places to eat too. Can recommend Delilah’s…great, locally sourced fresh produce.

2 days spent Here... And it grows on you. The loop walk is fine but not sign posted well. Guessing most of the time once away from river.
People are welcoming and friendly. Delilas for food.. A must. Driftwood cafe and lochinver larder... Both fab too.
Take a trip to the nearby beach too... Gorgeous..

Lochinver is, for a formerly quiet and remote village, reasonably interesting with several cafes and restaurants. However it does seem to close down from early Saturday afternoon until Tuesday morning so - beware and plan ahead.
Lovely beaches, scenery and walking locally.

Kirsteen, runs a lovely B & B accommodation and makes her guest feel most welcome from the time you pull up on the drive. The accommodation was clean and had all we needed. The location is excellent looking out over the Loch. we requested a ground floor bedroom as we did not wnat to use a spiral staircase.
The breakfast selection was continental and as good as most hotel serve. with the biggest selection of cereals we have ever had.
There are also some lovely restaurants in Lochinver but you need to book We ate in Peets which was really good. Most restaurants are struggling with staffing so may not be taking bookings to fill all their covers, so make contact before travelling if you can.

Nice small town (village?), with everything you need. Shops, restaurants, a bank is coming 2 times a week on wheels, but ATM and paying by card is no novelty there. ;-) Nice people, everyone is greating everyone. Best for hiking the surroundings, I will sure come back for sure.

A small coastal town well worth using as a base for a few days to explore the west coast. A variety of restaurants, coffee shops and tourists shops to explore. A great location for walking tracks and some beautiful beaches. Beware the single track roads, some of them they can be narrow in spots! but every seems to drive slowly which is good :) We were there in mid-September and the northern lights were visible one evening, a lovely bonus.

Such a serene location with superb views of Suilven and Lochinver. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations for our one night stay. What particularly stood out was the hot tub on the balcony. There are lots of nice touches including a miniature ice machine, robes for after using the hot tub and a cork world map where you can pin where you're from. Great value for the money and would definitely stay again!
Everything, great hosts, great location, great pod, great view, just amazing. All the little bits of detail are well thought of, clean and tidy. We didn't want to leave! having checked in at our next hotel at a more expensive rate, I feel that the price for the pod was worth it even more! Thank you Roy and Suzy!
Clean, tidy and spacious accommodation. John is a great host. Very friendly. A good selection of continental breakfast options. My room had a lovely view over Lochinver and mount Suilven. Lucky with the weather. A lovely stay.
