The setting was stunning. Lovely walks along the loch. Small village to the left of hotel 15 minutes walk away. Single track road to get to hotel with plenty of passing places so was not a difficult drive. It is just quite a way from everywhere else. That did not bother us as we just wanted to stay in this wonderful location. Very popular with dog walkers. There were quite a few lodges and mobile homes there but they were all spaciously and tastefully laid out to fit in with the surroundings and some had very pretty gardens.

I wanted to return to Lochgoilhead as I used to come here for my summer holidays over 30 years ago and I was not disappointed we had great weather which really made a difference we were able to go out and about. The hotel is lovely and clean and the views are amazing. We ate in the hotel which was lovely as we sat in the sun terrace and breakfast was lovely only issue is the single track road down to Lochgoilhead which you have to be very careful on.

    Stunning scenery. Peaceful setting.

Stunning scenery. Peaceful setting. Lots of nice walks locally. Single track road is the only way in and out to this loch, so be aware on the winter if there is snow it can be tricky. Also not many shops nearby.

Beautiful scenery. The loch was on our doorstep. Lots of great walks to go on, and not too far from other areas such as Loch Lomond. The Goil Inn was excellent for evening meals. Everyone in the area is very warm and friendly.

The village is not far from Loch Fyne oyster bar and Inverary where there are good places to eat. Inverary Castle was worth a visit with the castle itself and beautiful gardens, Not far from there is Auchendrain, a historic Highland township.

Every single thing - the location is amazing, away from the crowds of Loch Lomond. The rooms are well appointed and we had the rooms with views of Lochgoilhead. The icing on the cake are the hosts, Billy & Liz are warm, welcoming and great conversationalists. We had such a great time that we are thinking of when we can visit again and it isn’t a short trip from Singapore.

This property is in an amazing location on Lochgoilhead. The house is beautiful and we had amazing views of the lake from our bedroom window. Breakfast was fabulous and the host was wonderful. We had dinner at The Shore House and one of the staff sang and played the guitar. The owners there are lovely too. Highly recommended for a wonderful relaxing stay on the Loch.

The location was nice, surrounded by natural beauty and great views from the hotel. Very handy to have an on-site shop and a take-away. Car parking was never an issue. Room was nice. Breakfast was good. My toddler was handed a complimentary soft toy on arrival which he loves!
