The location was close to Llanwrst town, Trefriw and Betys-y-Coed, plus easy access to all other areas I wanted to visit. It has parking on site. It is a ground floor accommodation, which is great for heavy suitcases. The common area was light filled, comfy and very pleasant for breakfast. The breakfast was extraordinary! Eggs the way you request, hash browns, sausages, tomato, and even beans. Tea. Coffee. Toast. Filling! My room was cozy. It had good closet space, a coffee/tea station, two nightstands and a desk. The view was onto planting at the back garden. The bathroom had a shower only, but was a good size and no problem for a larger person to fit in. The window sill was deep, allowing all the bits and bobs for grooming to have a place to be stored. I appreciated the responsiveness of the hostess, especially with extra toilet tissue when my stomach experienced distress. I found an extra quilt in the room which helped on the chillier nights. The hostess was cheerful, friendly, accommodating and a lovely person.

Trefrew Woolen mill is a great place to go and there's plenty of articles for sale - some of little cost and others costing considerably more.
The hotel food was lovely and it was well cooked and served beautifully.

Llanrwst is a beautiful town not too far from the coast but lovely for walks. We had lunch at The Tannery and could not recommend it highly enough, brilliant staff and lovely food at very reasonable prices. We went into an amazing wine shop Blas Ar Fwyd where the staff were helpful and knowledgeable and happy to chat. Make sure you take a walk down by the river as it is amazing.

Llanrwst is near Betws- y -Coed which is the popular centre for Snowdonia but is overshadowed by that village; we felt that Llanrwst had seen better days, with many empty or run down buildings and some disaffected young people. There is a pretty bridge and riverside walk, though, and stone circle.
We had dinner at the Royal Oak in Betws-y-Coed which was superb if pricey.

Llanrwst is a lovely little town surrounded by beautiful scenery, river walks and ancient monuments, including the town bridge. You're close to Betws y Coed without the higher prices, and a hop from the coast.

This place is tucked away inland not far from Conwy.
This place is tucked away inland not far from Conwy. It’s a lovely little town and is a prime location for Snowdonia etc. Llanwrst is a belting little place to browse around with everything that you could wish for on holiday or just a short break for fishing or hiking. The bridge going over the river is very picturesque and seeped in history.

Hardly any shops or cafes open.
Hardly any shops or cafes open. Takeaways seem to open whenever they feel like it. If you are not prepared to drive to other areas or do some walking then it's not the village for you. However, there are some great walks in the area and it's a great base to travel to other places of interest from.
