Marius was a superstar, Bar Manager, Waiter, Receptionist and a damn fine chef! Stunning Lamb Shank dish cooked to order. However I think he was the only member of staff on site? Seemed a bit weird not to have a dedicated front of house noting that 4/6? Rooms were occupied.
Tucked in the Welsh hillside, the 4-star Stradey Park Hotel is a converted Edwardian mansion with panoramic views of the Gower and Carmarthenshire coastline.

Very central to our needs, with friendly staff throughout.
Good breakfast and we ate in the restaurant as well and the food and service was excellent.

The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Llanelli this weekend is £205 or, for a 4-star hotel, £118. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Llanelli for this weekend cost on average around £318 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Nice place. Rich culture. Stradey arms very nice staff very warm and helpful. Food excellent and reasonable price. Large Tesco extra not far for any needs but the speed limits were galling. It’s easy to get about but watch the traffic and speed. Not far to visit Cadw venues and free entry with English heritage card.parc Howard house very good and staff very helpful. Interesting pottery and art with a few old toys 🤪

We planned to use Llanelli as a stopping place convenient to visit the Gower and that proved ok. However we were rather disappointed with Llanelli itself. Where we stayed at The Thomas Arms they were unable to provide the facilities we expected, such as breakfast, local ales and evening meals, consequently we wandered around Llanelli town centre but were unable to find any restaurants open. Perhaps becauseI we were so unhappy with our accommodation we are somewhat prejudiced but we would not recommend Llanelli as a place to visit in its current state

I do not beleave the reveiws for the thomas arms as on booking . com are true. because i had stayed at this hotel before be it 10 years or so ago when it was a very good standard. If as i have now done now and looked a Ttip adviser i would never have booked this hotel. There reveiws reflected exactly my experience. I rate it as the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Never again. They don`t even return calls when messages left on answerphone.

It’s a great place to stay as a base as the coastline is lovely, Llanelli centre isn’t much to write home about tbh, but there’s all the shops you would need, but as we played golf in the area it was just what we needed.

It's tricky because I live here....I love it, amazing beaches and facilities nearby, but it is a big town and there are positives and negatives as anywhere. Public transport is poor and only a few taxi companies work at night, so plan your trips well. There is a real choice of places to eat and drink and entertainment can be found for everyone most weekends. Gateway holiday park always have something going on for all the family and there are many great pubs/cafes/restaurants in town and in the surrounding villages.
There was parking, the location was near to Llanelli. The apartment was well designed and furnished for maximum comfort. It was decorated to a high standard and equipped very well. There was a private outside space to relax in. The was a welcome pack with amazing Welsh cakes. We were welcomed and given tips about good local restaurants and the locality.
Didn’t have breakfast. Went down at 8 am no lights on, kitchen in darkness, no one at reception, no other clients, no one in the bar area and a board up blocking the bar entrance saying “smile you’re on CCCTV” There was a sign in the window asking if you want to run the pub/hotel contact Marstons.
The location was good for me as I wanted to be quite central and close to the beach. The beach was less than 10 minutes away by car and the town centre was about 15 minutes on foot. There is also good parking which is situated behind the hotel. The staff were helpful when asking for directions.
