A very cute little town in the Cotswolds. Lovely river walk and some pedal boats and row boats to rent along the river. We used it as a base to see a few other town in the area and it worked very well

We chose Lechlade as a venue to stay in for a 3 day walking break. As such it was ideally situated. The town itself is quite small but it was easy to travel to walking areas in the vicinity such as Buscot Lock, for the Thames path, or Buscot Park. Bibury and Minster Lovell were fairly close, as was Kelmscot Manor. Cirencester is easy to reach too. Food at The New Inn was brilliant and The Trout Inn was a lovely old pub, which is a short walk out of town on a well made path.

It's a small town on the upper Thames with an 18th-century bridge. Buscot Park (National Trust) is less than three miles away, and Kelmscott (once the home of William Morris) not much further. His friend Burne-Jones's pre-Raphaelite stained glass can be seen in Buscot church.

Riverside location and outdoor seating are were lovely. boat hire and public slip . lovely hanging baskets and tubs outside but all changes inside where tatty surroundings and lack of restaurant and bar staff is a really depressing Breakfast does not start until 9am and has no staff apart from grumpy till person trying to do all jobs. eat elsewhere. Bar rings for last orders at 9.30 on Sat/Sun. This not a hotel to enjoy , just a barely adequate place to sleep overnight.

Nice city, lots of restaurants around the corner. Good breakfast at Lynwood&Co, great diner at the New Inn Hotel. Also very dog friendly. Parking seems to be an issue but we could park every day on the small square around the corner, officially for 2 hrs, but nobody seems to worry. Overall a good stay.

One of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in. Very friendly staff, room was beautiful and I slept so well in the bed! Food is also lovely, I was staying for a wedding near by and wish I could have spent longer enjoying the facilities here.
