The local Co-op is open 7 days a week from 7am to 10pm. The town is small so can be fully explored on foot. Launceston Castle is interesting. There are public footpaths nearby for country rambles. I drove to other places including Tintagel Castle.

Launceston is a pretty little town with a lovely castle and grounds. Nice independent shops and several supermarkets. Lovely walks nearby and on the edge of Dartmoor so plenty to visit. Only 25 minutes from the north Cornwall coast.

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Breathtaking coastline. It's wonderful to have both countryside and coastline on offer 😁

Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile. The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

Lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff. Slowly being returned to its former glory. Depending on which room, there are fantastic views over the town and surrounding countryside. Gorgeous plaster friezework around dining room (particularly the small part.of the room) unfortunately in need of some renovation, but good to see the character of the building retained.
