Beautiful house. Isolated location off the beaten path. Self check-in with little lock boxes were very convenient. Unfortunately the booking dot com app did not send me the needed details until the next day. That is the booking dot com that sucks, not the falls.
Dunroamin Hotel has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Bonar Bridge.

This was a lovely stay, we are so glad we stopped here. The hosts are so thoughtful and helpful, they take care of everything you need. The room was very nice and cozy. The breakfast was amazing! the view is lovely, plenty of parking and they have the sweetest dog.

Very cute cottage. Roads were tricky getting there but it is Scotland 😀 Views were great. Owner very quick to respond with any questions about the house and questions about the area.

Tucked away, this is a lovely B&B annex, with an absolutley super host who was excellent in every way, from helping to find the property, to making sure everything was completely perfect throughout my all too brief stay. Lovely room, location, and the arrangements for breakfast, depite being only continental style, were really thoughtfully catered for.

Out of season (which appears to end in October), Lochinver largely shuts down, so there is a limited amount to do, while places to eat out close or have reduced opening, though Peet's restaurant remains open (except Wednesdays). Conversely, if solitude is preferred, this is probably the time to visit, when it is much quieter. The scenery in the area is spectacular, if bleak, but there are plenty of walks of all levels of difficulty.

We only went to Lairg because of the lack of affordable accommodation once north of Inverell (probably due to the over promotion of the SC500)Turned south and had a lovely time in south Scotland instead.

Convenient for one night to visit relatives near by.
Convenient for one night to visit relatives near by. Easy parking outside, not sure how easy when hotel busy? Hotel dowdy from the roadside and inside, no atmosphere. Some staff friendly some sharp and to the point. Room was pleasant but basic, bed fine, just about squeezed in to the tiny shower. Kettle and tea/coffee sachets available. We were told no guarantee bar would be open in the evening after 9; would have been nice to have a nightcap on our return. No key to get in on return, we had to phone to let them know are TOA, felt in the way when we did return. Breakfast fine and server was friendly, we were the only ones in the dining room, I've stayed in better youth hostels in my time. Basically you get what it says on the tin but it is old fashioned and outdated and I wouldn't be rushing back, even though cheap in comparison to other accommodation..

While there aren't days worth of activities to do within Lairg itself, it offers lovely views and lovely food for those staying there or those passing through. The Loch is great for photo opportunities and there is a forrest walk there also. It is great as a base to adventure out from for a scenic drive to the west coast where there are sandy beaches, or to the East coast where there are lovely towns and castles to visit. The locals are also very friendly.

This was a charming little town, a little off the beaten path but worthwhile.
The stay felt safe, other guest friendly and staff desired to please.
This location was easy to find, easy to park.
My wife felt it could use more toilet paper.
I never figured out how to work the soap dispenser.
The breakfast and dinner were A OK.
I would stay again.

Lairg was just what we wanted, a small quiet village, very clean and tidy, little shops that stocked everything, fish and chip shop was superb, Pier Inn had delicious food, lots of lovely walks, and community centre was full of information, very helpful staff, overall stay was great, and the River Shin, was lovely as was the Loch, if you want away from the rat race, Lairg is the place to go.

The house itself is impressive - spacious, well equipped and clean. There was a welcome package of essential food items and a bowl of fruit which made us feel very welcome on arrival. It is very close to all amenities and Lairg is a beautiful village. Although some of the features (bathroom suite) were a little dated, they were immaculately clean and in good working order.
Really easy to find, close to Lairg. Pod had everything we needed, fantastic views during the day and at night. Tour of the farm was a great bonus! Great breakfast too at a good price.
Beautiful pod in Lairg! This location was perfect for exploring the northern highlands. The host is extremely nice and helpful! I would definitely this stay.
