The Steadings, hotel in Kinlochleven

Located 18 km from Loch Linnhe, The Steadings provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The property was very clean and well presented with everything I would expect for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The host was particularly friendly and helpful, they were also easily available if needed and greeted me on arrival. I made good use of the kitchen which had all the appliances and utensils I needed to prepare an evening meal. The bed was particularly comfortable and the view from the window is great. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone exploring the Highlands.

Seemed like a cute town at first but had a weird vibe once you got into the town, it was very dead and kind of rundown (garbages overflowing, cigarettes in the river). The campsite we stayed at was barely a campsite, it was a strip of grass with glamping pods and picnic tables on it and right next to some industrial thing, very depressing for anyone who has actually been camping. The little store had a nice selection and the coffee shop employees were very friendly with good coffee and sandwiches to offer. Be prepared if you're hiking the west highland way as the hike down to this town is long and suffering. Wouldn't visit again unless doing the WHW.

Unless you're walking the West Highland Way you will need a car. The village isn't big, but has a shop if you need anything quickly. The setting and views of the highlands and loch is stunning

    The place was extremely nice.

The place was extremely nice. You could take this place for staycation. Thé location was also nice and quiet with mountain view and riverside activities. The house could accommodate 4 people. It was neat and clean and had all the required amenities in it. But there is only very few shops nearby.

Nice stopover for WHW walkers with co-op for shopping and a nice pub serving good food, The Tailrace Inn, all in easy walking distance. Easy scenic bus service to Fort William for those who are blistered or knee-wracked or just plain tired.

Lovely quiet place, an ideal launching point to climb the Mamore hills, or else a short drive over to Glen Coe or Glen Nevis. Some other pretty local walks, although be aware all of them involve an uphill slog of 200-300 metres early on.

When we arrived we walked into the pub area and was greeted by the lady who worked behind the bar ( sorry i didnt get her name ) she was so lovely and made us feel welcome after a wet 9 mile walk from Kings House Hotel, We ordered drinks and home made mince and tatties while we waited for our room. Our room was clean and cosey with a comfy bed and an ensuite toilet and shower. In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before heading out to Fort William.

Great location - Kinlochleven is the epitome of "surrounded by hills", almost like being at a Norwegian fjord-head. Liked all the local touches in the cosy and well-equipped Leven apartment - historic pictures of the village etc. (and all the highland and island OS maps wallpapering the porch and bathroom!). Tara the host was excellent and very friendly and helpful in all her communications.

The location. No complaints about staff. Continental breakfast for £6.50 on par with hostels around Scotland (though no fresh fruit).
