Loch Rannoch Highland Club, hotel in Kinloch Rannoch

The Club lies on the traditional main route north to the west coast of Scotland, known famously as the Road to the Isles.

There was a fantastic balcony that overlooked the Loch. The Hotel next door provided our meals as this is a very isolated location.

Great place to stay for a few days!

Great place to stay for a few days! Would definitely recommend a visit to the Rannoch station, the cafe is lovely and the staff were fantastic. Book a table though, it was very busy when we went. There are lots of walks in the local area, both down and round the village and also in the hills and woodlands so take a coat and sensible walking shoes. Swimming pool and spa are a lovely addition to the hotel.

See earlier review.forgot to mention the bathroom toilet was dangerous as when you stood up you could bang your head on the glass shower screen because it was so cramped. A very big person would have real problems in the bathroom.

It's a remote place with one small shop/post office a 10 minute walk or less from hotel. Shop is pricey with little variety and next town is 20 mins drive. I would stock up on snacks prior to arrival as more time to cycle etc. Apparently the local shop is up for sale so the new management may reduce prices.

A stunning part of Scotland with so much landscape to enjoy. Helped by very sunny weather, wildlife everywhere and first class eateries and cafes in abundance - very much an unspoilt area offering genuine opportunities to relax and unwind.

The hosts were so accommodating and lovely.

The hosts were so accommodating and lovely. We had some car trouble and they went out of their way to assist. You will need to book restaurants in advance as there are only a few and they are often booked out. There is a cafe walking distance and one shop but come prepared by bringing your own food and snacks. There was a full kitchen with cutlery and crockery in our accommodation with a tv and a sleeper couch. The view alone is worth staying here

    The area is amazing.

The area is amazing. If staying in a self catering place make sure you go with supplies, the nearest big shop is 35 minutes away. Kinloch Rannoch does have a Country store for your basic stuff but they close early on a Sunday.

The Rannoch Nest is a gorgeous apartment. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated and the bed was really comfy. it had absolutely everything you could possibly need-we’ve never stayed at a better stocked place! Jane was the perfect host- before the visit she took time to find out what we were interested in doing and sent some really useful links; there was also a generous Welcome Pack waiting for us. Kinloch Rannoch is a great base to explore the area and we’d love to return.

Properties in need of upgrading as felt like a council estate building from a scene from The Bill circa 1995. However location was outstanding and the apartments well well kitted out and comfortable. Took us a minute to find the other bed in the wall! Would be good if all part of the hotel facilities too as a little confusing
