Breakfast was very enjoyable. More fruit to choose from would have been nice as a cooked breakfast isn’t included.
Bed was very comfortable & the pillows were perfect. Where are they from? ☺️

Beautiful & they’ve nailed the home from home atmosphere. I booked a solo night away to switch off & that’s exactly what I did. Ava was amazing, so attentive & welcoming. I enjoyed a glass of wine in the drawing room in the evening which gives you being at home vibes. I loved the decor throughout, a lot of attention to detail. A short walk to nearby coffee shops (Forts coffee & food was amazing) and restaurants (I ate at Sargossa & Buoy and Oyster).

The warm reception, the tour of the place, the obvious enthusiasm of the staff for the building, and what has been created. The Sunday roast with one of the best gravies I have had and a melange of greens. The beer. The bathroom and rainfall shower, the wee nook of a bar upstairs for the six rooms. I liked it all. The room was small but very cosy and in keeping with the age of the building and more than compensated for by the wee nook.

The hotel was clean and comfortable on a quiet street. The breakfast was served in the room and was very good.
The immediate area is rather run down, but Old Margate was very interesting with nice restaurants and bars and well worth a visit.

Canterbury is lovely and full of history The shakespeare pub does lovely food. . We did tour around a lot as it was a nostalgic trip for me when I was 10. Not impressed with Margate, the beach was lovely but the general area was a bit run down. Also think they have a sewer problem. We also stayed in Sittingbourne which is a nice area to visit

We lived there for 34 years.
We lived there for 34 years. It’s lovely to go back and see friends and family. Try getting the fast train from London to the coast it’s a great service from St Pancras International which also serves Eurostar. If you like castles there are 2 in Deal and Dover is only 8 miles away with the ruins of Roman Richborough castle a few miles from nearby Sandwich. If you like golf there are several courses including the famous Royal St George’s which is home to the Open Championship.

We went to Whistable market as well during this visit and the town is really good walk around and with a lot of good local shops as well. Great place. I would highly recommend using the local bus transport as the taxis are not as frequent and uber is difficult to find.

We loved visiting Quex park and museum, it was amazing!
We loved visiting Quex park and museum, it was amazing! So much to do and visit. Reminiscing over places I visited as a child. We ate at Toby Carvery whilst family were watching England play Euros. Next time will avoid M25 , what a nightmare 51/2 hrs journey, instead of of 3 1/2 hr journey.
