Good location adjacent to the harbour and the famous John O'Groats landmark 'sign'. Lots of parking available. Contemporary decor and spotlessly clean and comfortable in a spacious apartment. Kitchen is well equipped however the freezer is a small one within the fridge so don't take too much frozen food. Lovely toiletries and a full size hairdryer.

Being met by the owner on arrival. Very easu access to the room we had. Car parking on site at no cost. A lovely country view from our room. Very peacfull and quiet location but easy to get to from the main road. Now the very best part. We ordered breakfast on arrival for the next day and were informed that it would be served in our room within the breakfast time slot and picked a set time. In the room is a small table and chairs right by the window with a great view. The next morning the owner brought breakfast on a lovely trolley and we sat and had breakfast in peace and quiet. The breakfast was lovely certainly enough to start the day well. By the way an evening meal is available also served in the room but must be ordered the day before arrival, they send you a menu at time of booking for breakfast and dinner. Good selection.
The room is very nicely decorated, very clean and a good size. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom very nice. We have already planned another visit next year !!!
The owner is very nice and makes you feel at home right away

We liked how we were upgraded to a sea view apartment. The blue toft was lovely and clean with all the modern conveniences and nice and warm.
Close by was Gills Bay where we took a car ferry over to the Orkney Islands. Coastal walk was very picturesque with plenty of photo opportunities,
The souvenir shops were great, and people were very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at John O Groats and would recommend it to anyone.

At the edge of Scotland, the gateway to the Orkneys or a sea tour. No facilities to speak of and the nearest Tesco is a 20 minute drive, so come prepared or just pass through here. The drive up is a hazard in terms of road maintenance. .

The rooms were not cleaned and the toilet was actually full of crap so we had to call them and they cleaned it right away. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed, and the bathroom was extremely small so for one night it was not bad but can't stay for a few more days. The rooms were very cramped and when you enter the door could only be opened partially as it hit the bed. The configuration of bed placement was poor. That said, the location of this hotel was excellent and the staff were very pleasant to deal with.

Stunning sea views which could be enjoyed from inside the property or out on the deck. Excellent facilities and well maintained property, cleaned to a high standard. Hosts were friendly and very accommodating. We were left alone to enjoy our break but had support on site when needed. Superb onsite staff. Our heating had stopped working but this was resolved quickly and didn't intrude on our short break.
There were some lovely onsite gift shops. There was also a cafe which we didn't have time to visit. There is also a small post office a short walk away with a few essentials available if needed. We prepared our own food and found the kitchen facilities and equipment in the kitchen to be fantastic.
I would have preferred less outdoor lighting at night to reduce light pollution for viewing the beautiful night sky.
The hotel is conveniently located, right next to the John O' Groats edge point, making it ideal for exploring the area. Our room was perfect for a family—spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. Parking was also hassle-free, adding to the overall convenience. The food was good, although the staff appeared quite busy in the evening due to the crowded pub. Despite this, we had a great experience overall, and I would highly recommend the place.
Clean and beautifully appointed room and ensuite, with top quality linen and towels. The views across Pentland Firth and John O Groats were amazing.
Our hostess, Gail, was great company and provided many little touches to make her guests welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and, as we didn't need a full breakfast, she made sandwiches for our onward trip.
Host was really helpful and helped with a table reservation at the sea view hotel rooms were clean and comfortable the continental breakfast was more than adequate and only about half mile from John o Groats great location
Perfect location, lovely host, big spacious rooms, very comfy beds, could enter the petting farm as many times as you liked! We had a great stay! Also had a lovely dinner at the seaview hotel.
