Jedburgh has a number of good tourist "sites" - one of the best abbeys. The main sites in town are all within easy walking distance of each other - so if you book accommodation in the town centre you can ditch the car while sightseeing in town.
It is also a great spot for day trips to other tourist sites in the Borders area - super easy drives to the other abbeys, castles, etc. Most are less than a half hour drive and can be strung together into great circle day tours.
There are a number of good restaurants and cafes in the town, although be warned that after tourist season (we were there in mid-Oct) some of them close early. We ate at the Carters Rest and the Belters Bar - great dinners at both locations.

It has a large free car park, free toilets at the car park with the information office and bus station next door. Very interesting free entry to the castle gaol and Mary, Queen of Scots house. It has a ruined Abbey. The town is compact and has lots of cafes and interesting little shops including a chocolate shop. It is a great place to stop on the A98 on the way to and from Edinburgh.

Jedburgh is a lovely town and we visited the Thistle & Tweed shop on the High Street which we cannot recommend highly enough.
There is also a lovely little florist and the young lady who helped us with a bouquet and also arranged some irises for us to leave at our Dad's grave was so helpful.

Lovely little market town where we normally just break our journey up to Aberdeen. It was nice to spend a little bit longer even though it's now the 'off season'. Lovely surroundings - it would seem there's a lot to do around there in Spring/Summer. Also some nice restaurants - especially Bella Sicily.

Plenty to see all within easy walking distance in this small town. Good choice of eating out, even on a Sunday evening. There is also a good selection of independent shops and small businesses in the centre.

The location near Jedburgh was perfect for my touring needs. The old coaching house is much bigger than I expected with a large restaurant and outside seating area. The Nepalese staff are brilliant and the food in the evening showcases their cuisine. I had the lamb curry which was marvellous.
My room was the double attic room with detached bathroom, so quirky slopping ceilings form part of its historical character. If you want squares and en-suite book a Premier Inn. The bed was to their standard too.
Very clean and tidy throughout.
Lovely old hotel nicely modernised retaining lots of historic features. Lovely host and very tasty breakfast.
Jedburgh is a lovely small historic town with a fabulous ruined abbey and lots of other historic buildings
