I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms, better than the Riverside Hotel I stayed in last New Year. We did not receive breakfast as it was New Year's Day.
The beach is about a 5-10 minutes drive away for nice walks.
The beach is about a 5-10 minutes drive away for nice walks. Irvine town centre is about a 5 minute walk but there doesn't seem to be a lot in it. The hotel is on the bus route to Irvine town centre.

We stayed 3 nights. The location was convenient, the staff very friendly. The hotel has seen better days though, Motel style, so did the room. Nice size but a bit dark, small windows actually to the garden side. The location is popular for weddings and has nice areas including ponds with illuminated water fountains at night. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and we could get it even early when we left for a full day trip to Arran island…
Staff was very pleasant, rooms are a good size and everywhere very clean! I came for one night with my mum to visit family but I would book this hotel again for my own family.
Lovely wee hotel, nice location right next to Irvine Railway station. Easy walk into town. Near the harbour with nice walks along along the River Irvine, then the beach.
