The location was perfect for our visit to Glentress Forest. The breakfast was great. Loved the toiletries in the bathroom. The check in was smooth and we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and locals in the bar.

The hotel is in the middle of the Peeble Town itself and the staff is very accomodating. Bed is comfortable and free breakfast itself is amazing you get made to order food! The young lady in the front desk who wears glassess is very kind and knowledgeable of the area.
We ate mostly at the Traquair Arms Hotel for bar food.
We ate mostly at the Traquair Arms Hotel for bar food. Range of food on offer was good with additional daily courses given on the chalk board. Loved the desserts!
The coffee shop at Findra on the High Street was had a relaxed and very friendly feel, with good coffee and scones.
Innerleithen is an excellent centre in the lovely Tweed valley for visiting the Borders, although having a car (or a bike!) helps.

Recommend Caddon View Guest House.
Recommend Caddon View Guest House. Innerleithen would be a lovely holiday destination - an interesting small town with lots of shops and gift shops to explore, local country walks, cycle hire, lovely restaurant at the Traquair Arms. A highlight for me was a visit to Kailzie Gardens just a 10 minute drive. This has an amazing walled garden (17ft high walls) with herbaceous borders, glasshouses, a flower cutting garden, veggie garden and wonderful arboretum for walks and picnics. Also a courtyard garden, putting green, trout fishing and a fishing pond for children. Visit for a day or afternoon for walks and lunch. See their website for holiday accommodation (with secure bike storage for cyclists).

Good location with regular bus services.
Good location with regular bus services. Good location to travel to and from by car.
Not alot of places to choose from to dine in and the one pub offering food can be abit pricey but they've a captive audience.
Plenty of takeaways if that's your thing. Also a supermarket to buy daily supplies.
Leave your car and use the regular bus service to other local places.
Traquair House is a must place to see and they do excellent lunches.
Be aware that a lot of kitchens in local towns stop food at 3pm. You will be able to get coffee and cake in some at that time

It's an ideal place for exploring the countryside. Lots of good walks around and beautiful scenery. A few local shops and pubs and not far from Peebles which has a larger variety of shops.
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland.
Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland. Everything is very intimate in a sense that you have exactly what you need - couple of restaurants, a few shops and lovely people. There is a charming coffee on the main road with the nicest staff. The town itself feels like home even to an outsider.

Super location…just up the hill from the Traquair Arms Hotel and the centre of Innerleithen.
Guy and Lesley are very helpful and friendly. Guy rides road bikes and MTB and was very helpful in advising route to check out. The facilities are very good for MTB with a locked garage with bike racks, charging facilities and a pressure washer.
The breakfast is really very good with lots of flexibility about different choices.
I would love to come back.
We thought it was an excellent property - well furnished, very clean and homely. The location was great for exploring the Borders and facilities in Innerleithen are a couple of minutes walk away. Games were provided, which were great and added to the homeliness. We'd happily return!
