The hostess was very attentive, warm and kind. The facilities were good, as was the food and the beer. I would definitely stay here again, and will invariably do so as the event I attended local to this place is an annual event.

Breakfast was well cooked and lots of choice on the menu. The room had lots of tea/coffee and a kettle as well as a large bottle of water provided.
Bed was very comfortable and so very happy with my stay here.

The North Street Annexe was perfect to stay at, close to the shops but in a quiet area. The Shrubbery is a great place too, the meals there are great, I would recommend the restaurant.
The Cheesecake shop is supposed to be good but doesn’t open until Thursdays.
The shops are a good mix too. Some lovely independent shops. You can get everything you need on the high street.

We chose Ilminster as it was fairly close to the M5 but not too far from Lyme Regis, where we were visiting the following day. We didn't spend time in Ilminster, just used the hotel as a overnight stop, but it looked characterful and was a great location to other attractions, including Lyme Regis.

Lovely central location so you can go to Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Taunton and Wells in approximately an hour or under. Ilminster is a small town, with a large Tesco and other small shops for all you needs. Friendly locals and plenty of places to visit for all the family. Highly recommended for a perfect getaway.

Katie and Simon were exceptionally helpful and cheerful even though we booked online only 20 minutes before arriving. There is a living area with kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge area, separate bedroom and also a large shower room - all tastefully and comfortably furnished, warm and cosy. We liked the breakfast that was left in kitchen and fridge - a perfect start to our day.
traditional pub in the centre of a lovely Somerset village that has been well modernised. the staff were very friendly and helpful, suggesting gardens to visit while we were in the area. the food is exceptional - restaurant food rather than pub grub. the two dinners and breakfasts we had were memorable. the pub gardens were lovely to sit out in.
Great room and ensuite wet room with a bath too, bed is huge and comfortable, all spotlessly clean, great food and drink from the restaurant, lovely breakfast too.
The staff were very attentive and made me feel very welcome, I will definitely book again if in the area.
Great location in a quiet little town, ideal central point for Somerset, we had a wedding nearby, much better than staying in a hotel room, book the whole house instead ah.. Comfortable beds, great quality towels, very spacious.. Would hire again.
