Have been many times before and still not used to the very narrow lanes on the drive there. Parking is very limited at the Hope & Anchor and the public parking which although right next door is quite expensive and if you use the machine on site instead of downloading the app, it will rip you off and charge a lot more than the tariff advertised. Lovely setting and lovely old cottages, great coastal paths to walk with tremendous views. Several places to eat though only the hotel to drink.

    Highly recommended.

Highly recommended. The accommodation was comfortable the food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very small criticism would be that my wife waited 20 minutes for a single slice of toast at breakfast. I did mention it to a member of staff. Hope this solves the problem for future guests.

Great place to enjoy a relatively quiet seaside holiday. Good local food. Afternoon tea at the Cottage Hotel overlooking the sea is not to be missed. Hope Cove is small enough to allow you to walk everywhere. The road to Hope Cove from the main road is very narrow but there are passing places.

A great coastal location in the South Hams with some glorious scenery and coastal walking around, either from the front door or a short drive away. Although very much a holiday destination with, in truth, rather too many holiday lets/rentals, the village does benefit from three eateries, two of them as part of pubs, one being fairly smart and traditional (Hope&Anchor), and the other more of a hip/'craft' bar that serves excellent pizzas (The Cove). There is no convenience store in the village. P.S. The narrow lanes are NOT for the faint-heated or those who do not know the width of their car !!!

A lovely unspoilt location, with lovely walks , unfortunately due to COVID there were little places to eat but the pub we found The Cove was brilliant with very friendly staff and felt very safe as Covid priorities in place . Hope cove is an excellent base , with easy access to Dartmouth, salcombe And kingsbridge . Overall we had a wonderful couple of days.

Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and help celebrate our anniversary. We cannot thank them enough. They treated us to an evening meal and ensured we had top class service. Everything here was comfortable and we slept like babies with the patio door wide open at night, sounds of the sea and nothing else. The view is stunning and the food is wonderful with well thought out dishes. Yum yum. Amazing place and superb value for money esp this time of year. It's a place we would definately return to.

This hotel is a gem! Overlooking Hope Cove, it's a perfect location. Room was excellent, all staff were on the ball and service from them all was their top priority. Truly exceptional and so glad we booked here for our wedding Anniversary. They made a lovely special menu and "Congratulations" decorations on our table for dinner when they knew it was a celebration. We cannot fault this hotel, truely exceptional! and they have a bank of chargers too in the upper car park if you need to charge your electric car.

The most beautiful place, a spot I'm eager to revisit. Our walk to the top of the hill revealed a stunning view of the sea. The hotels, with their inviting restaurants, served up the most delectable fish and chips and a succulent steak, all perfectly complemented by the local beer.
