The host (Deborah) was so lovely and accommodating. The room we booked was cozy enough for what we needed for an overnight booking for new year's eve. It was quiet and had that cottage feel to it. You will be sharing a bathroom but we were lucky to be the only one to be there that night, so it felt like we had the whole floor, it was clean and the shower was good.
You have a separate lounge where you can hangout if you need it. The bed was so comfy and the duvet I think is a weighted one for I slept like a baby. There is indeed a cat but it was friendly and didn't really bother us at all. The location is 6 mins drive from town and it is easy to get an Uber. We were given a key to be able to just come and go as we pleased, which was really handy.
Overall it was a lovely space for what we needed.

Cottage was absolutely lovely, host were superb added a cake and wine for a special birthday which was gratefully appreciated. One of the party had an accident in the cottage, staff where fab about it letting us know where the first aid stuff was and allowing us to stay a little later so we could get sorted.
Everyone was very friendly throughout our visit.
The only downside during our stay (mid-November) was that many establishments were closed on Monday and Tuesday. Quite a few places are only open from Friday to Sunday at this time of year.
Enjoyed The Wrinkled Stockings Tea Rooms, Ribbles and Bluebird Bakery.

Very vibrant little town, many interesting independently run shops and coffee houses. Aswell as history of last of the summer wine locations. Loved the views of the valley. Even had places to park for free!!!!

We enjoyed the food & drink festival which was on while we were there. We really enjoyed walking around the town spotting the film locations for ‘Lasf of the summer wine’. Sid’s cafe was great fun as was the exhibition about the TV series.
We also enjoyed watching cricket in the sun.

Holmfirth is a wonderful town, if you are a Last of the summer Wine fan or not, it is very olde worldie and the locals are very friendly. The town can get swamped with visitors at weekends and bank holidays. if you can visit during the week it is much better.

I have friends in the Holmfirth area and they are the usual focus for my visits. The town has a good variety of shops and eateries. My recommendation is The Carding Shed at Washpit Mills, an amazing combination of good food (including a wealth of gluten free options) and vintage vehicles! Loads of great walks in the area, with stunning scenery to reward climbing out of the valley!

There’s parking available which is always a plus, and the location is central in a town which is fine for a weekend away. My missus and I do quite a bit of weekending away, change of scenery, a few beers and an eat out, etc etc Holmfirth is great for that and the Bridge’s location couldn’t really be better for that
This was our 3rd visit to these Apts, so comfortable with everything thought of. A Small welcome pack of milk egss etc very much appreciated. Location is perfect just a 20 mins walk downhill into Holmfirth. Thank you once again for a lovely stay.
The cottage was lovely and cosy and modern. Very clean with everything we needed. Fantastic views and a perfect location for visiting Holmfirth, we like the Picturedrome which have concerts etc….
