DoubleTree by Hilton Bath, hotel in Hinton Charterhouse

DoubleTree by Hilton Bath is a property located in Bath’s city center. Guests can enjoy views of the city, River Avon and the countryside beyond.

The room was good and comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and when something ran out it was quickly replenished. The location was perfect for the centre of the city and easy to find. The Podium car park may have been a problem to park in at the weekend but we found a space on Friday.

Holiday Inn Express Bath, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Hinton Charterhouse

Holiday Inn Express Bath is a 15-minute walk from the magnificent Roman centre of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage city.

Fairly functional room, everything was appropriate, nothing more, nothing less, just enough. The breakfast is complimentary and adequate, although it would've been nice to have gluten free bread option.

Beautiful building and a large beautiful room. The location was outstanding for a tourist. The hotel has no parking but there is a 20 minute loading zone just a 1/2 block away. The staff took out suitcases to our room while we moved our car to public parking, which was super sweet!

Broad Street Townhouse, hotel in Hinton Charterhouse

Featuring a bar, Broad Street Townhouse is located in the center of Bath, a 5-minute walk from The Circus Bath.

The entire property was extremely convenient and centrally located. We traveled by car and had no problem finding parking at a nearby public garage. We had a great experience with the staff, who greeted us very warmly and helped us get set up with our room right away. The room was comfy and super cute. The bathroom was amazing—fantastic updated shower and sink and a toasty towel warmer. We had the window open overnight and didn’t have any issues with street noise (keep in mind, this was a weeknight in the off-season). We enjoyed our breakfast in the beautifully designed downstairs cafe.

The Rose and Crown is everything you would hope for in an old country inn, warm, welcoming, pleasing decor, even friendly local customers who greeted us with smiles. There were no Incan ruins in Hinton Charterhouse.

This is a review update . originally only issue was the pub/coffee shop was closed on Mondays which wasn't clear on booking.com in turn our 1 night was spent with a co-op meal deal and watching a very small TV. However the main reason for the discontent is the emails from the management blaming us for the things we were not happy with . Not once did they accept our honest opinion of our trip . We said nothing particularly bad about the place , in fact in some areas we were complimentary . The facts are the pub was closed , not clear at all on booking .com , but according to the management of the Rose and Crown that was our fault . When we pointed out it wasn't made clear to us that the pub would be closed during our stay in the reply to their personal email to us guess what ? it was still our fault . It also says pets are free but they are not . We were honest about our stay as requested . Will not be visiting the Rose & Crown again whilst under this current management . We had very little contact face to face at the time but the emails received from them are very rude indeed. what is the point of requesting reviews if people don't want an honest answer . Lots of people have had a good experience here so that's great , but we were disappointed and felt a bit cheated that the pub was closed , that is a fact . But overriding this is the what we believe to be rude emails from the management to us . Not happy.

Very comfortable stay. Clean, well run with hospitable staff who made me feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Well presented and delicious meals on the menu. I will certainly stay there again, if there is a vacancy, As it is so good it has become very popular.

We really liked the friendly welcome and attention during our evening meal and breakfast. The food was good both the evening meal and breakfast. We had sourdough, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast. The eggs were cooked just right and the smoked salmon delicious. It was not at all expensive which made it even better value for money. Nigel, Shaun and the team go out if their way to look after you. Nigel says they only opened in early 2019. They work really hard and our experience shows it's paying off. Good luck for the future guys, it should be a bright one.
