Great location if you want to visit the peak district, just go walking or visit the blue john mines. Its a lovely little town with all the amenities you could need. I stayed and ate in the Royal Oak, it was a great menu and the food is all cooked fresh, couldn't rate it highly enough.

Very picturesque part of Britain with plenty of outdoor activities, one can get away from the crowds easily but also immerse oneself in the flocks of holidaymakers on the more known parts like Monsal Trail or Monsal Head. We, ourselves, stayed in Combs and had enough hikes from the doorstep with hardly any other walker's and sort of regretted visiting Bakewell and the Monsal Trail for it was too busy.

The property is well decorated with period furniture.

The property is well decorated with period furniture. Reception rooms heated by log burning stoves. Bedrooms very comfortable. More like staying in a (large) house than a hotel. Good countryside views.
