We wanted to love this place but sadly it was style over substance and ruined our romantic evening for our anniversary. Such a shame as view lovely, right next to a pub and great size lodge.

Good location for walking and on site of pub that serves nice reasonably priced food.
Able to watch Netflix & IPlayer on TV.
Nice to have the fridge & microwave. Crockery & cutlery were provided and there was fresh milk in fridge and two mini boxes of cereal plus tea/coffee. Nicely decorated.
Bar staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and polite.
Very dog friendly both in chalet and the pub and did not charge extra to allow her to stay. The walks were lovely with great views of the area.

The location was perfect if you wanted to be in the middle of nowhere. We did. The scenery was breathtaking. We sat in the beer garden playing cards, listening to the sheep with rolling countryside as our view.
There were no shops within walking distance but a 10 minute drive to the nearest village of Barton.
The shower was very powerful.
The TV was big and had no trouble connecting to channels or apps.
Good WiFi connection.
The View pub/restaurant was perfect. Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble (we were left no milk so husband popped over and they gave us a pint straight away) we had an evening meal which was very high quality.

The chalet and location were very nice plus lovely pub/restaurant next door. However the internet and TV did not work which made our stay very stressful as we need both. We complained several times but it still did not work.

The staff were attentive & friendly although there were no towels in my chalet & by the time I realised it was too late to remedy this.
The chalet needed a few minor repairs to lights & toilet lid.
There is a busy & noisy road immediately outside.
