Bermuda Chalet - Hemsby, hotel in Hemsby

Bermuda Chalet - Hemsby is set in Hemsby, 1.7 km from Scratby Beach, 43 km from Blickling Hall, as well as 7.1 km from Caister Castle & Motor Museum.

On arrival was bright, bed was comfy, so was sofas. Was made to feel homely with large tv in lounge and tv's in both bedrooms and lovely fireplace. In fact, the chalet was very well equipped. The host was very quick responding to me when I left a message regarding a small issue i had with the coin meter, she was very friendly. We stayed two nights, so suited us just fine and would stay again.

I love Hemsby, my late husband and I used to go every year, but since he passed away I decided it was time to visit by myself. Hemsby is a family-oriented place, the arcades, the little amusement park and there are a couple of crazy golf places. There are a few novelty shops with a wide array of goodies to take home as souvenirs or gifts, plus they sell all sorts of bits and bobs you might need for your stay. There are a few good eateries along the Beach Road, my favourite being Dell's Two Way Cafe; there is a chippie & a diner, plus a few snack bars that sell slushies, Booble Teas, candy floss & other sweets and treats. As I was staying on a site on Beach Road I didn't need to pay for parking, but there looked to be a couple of public car parks where you pay and display. I visited the beach briefly, but in the past, I have spent a few hours splashing in the sea and walking along the sand, however, this time I was alone and it was too emotional for me so I gave that a miss.

Lovely, pretty place with some amazing local properties. Beaches in he area were great and when we went in June the site was very, very quiet. Wish we could have taken nicer weather with us but hey hoe. I would recommend Hemsby as a base for your holiday.

Hemsby is a good location as a base to explore other areas of Norfolk. If you have kids then this is a good location as you have everything you need on your doorstep. I imagine that Hemsby is a major holiday destination judging by the amount of amusement arcades and caravan parks in the surrounding area. In the high season if you are after a quiet location then this probably is not the location for you. However, if you have kids then this is perfect.

    Beach is beautiful.

Beach is beautiful. I went away with just my dog and felt a little nervous going solo - I needn’t have worried! Amazing pub in Hemsby called the Lacon Arms served fab food, friendly staff and very dog friendly. Little bakery at the start of the Main Street let me call out my order from at the door. Local Hirsts farm shop let you take your dog in and their cafe serves incredible food. A visit to quirky 1940’s Poppylands is a must as are the seals at Horsey Gap. Short drive to Gt Yarmouth (amazing model village) and so many wonderful beaches all within a few miles. Local People are so friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hemsby and surrounding area to dog owners and to families with children.

Really lovely chalet, extremely clean with lots of extras like bin bags, washing liquid etc so you don’t need to go and buy it all. You are also given £5 in the electric metre, we put an extra £5 in and that lasted at 5 days which is really reasonable. Great location with loads of cafes, fish and chip shop, arcades, and bars with night time entertainment about a 5 minute walk away. Hemsby beach is a 15 minute walk away with lots to do and see. We will definitely be booking again.

It is not a modern caravan but it is very clean, comfortable for me and my 3 children. Perfectly equipped, you need to have only towels. There is only 2 minutes to the wonderful sandy beach. Lots of attractions for children. We don’t have to use a car . You can take an open - air bus tour to Great Yarmouth. 10 minutes walk to Co-op store , 3 minutes walk to the bakery with fresh bread every morning. We were in constant contact with Tracy so we feel safe and comfortable.

Dog and Family Friendly.. The park and location of the property is excellent. Beautiful South facing property so we had the sun all day. The layout of the property was cosy. The location excellent for access tobshops, beautiful beaches of Hemsby, Scatby and Winterton - ideal for dog walks. Great location for trips to Yarmouth, Gorleston and beyond. Shops, pubs and amusements on your doorstep. Very friendly owner who is helpful. Bed was very comfy.

The caravan was very clean and tidy and smelt very nice especially for an old model caravan, you would expect maybe damp or mould in such places but this caravan was spotless. The location is great with a short walk to the main Hemsby promenade and only a 15min drive from great Yarmouth. The owner was also really friendly and excellent at responding to any questions.
