The accommodation is set separately behind the pub with its own access so quiet at night!
Room was cosy. Bed excellent and very comfy. Largish bathroom with good shower. Air conditioning heating - which was fabulous once we'd read the instructions!
Standard pub fare on site. Breakfast in the pub was very good with a range of cooked options.
Location was on the old town high street. Worth a morning walk and down to Gadbridge Park.
Brilliant find was a Thai restaurant on the high street, a 1 minute walk (Chiang Mai Cottage). Great value, lovely staff and busy on a Sunday night!
Overall would be happy to stay again!

The room was lovely and clean and very well equipped. It was also nice and warm too. The taps had hot water instead of tepid and everything was just perfect.

The property was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The location was also perfect to grab some lunch and to do a spot of shopping as the town centre was walking distance. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a private accomodation. You stay with a family. The place is a little bit remote, but you still can go there by bus, Number 2 from Arriva or the 46.
There is a one stop supermarket at the entrance to the residential area, who provide a coffee machine.

Superb hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully clean and well equipped apartment.
Hemel isn’t a nice as we thought it would be. Town centre very scruffy & full of takeaway shops & fast food outlets.
Traffic was hideous with a very dodgy 6 mini roundabout - roundabout!
We only stayed here as it’s a short drive to Harry Potter studios, definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

The ambience was great, breakfast lovely, but the staff didn't know what a bloody Mary cocktail is at the bar.
The cleaning of the rooms, was also not completely great, but staff were fantastic. Also had to pay for parking of our rented car, but glad the place was secured.

The walk along the canal and the beautiful marina are a must and Sainsbury’s is a gem min walk down the road or canal path. The train station at Aspley is not brilliant would recommend booking g tickets online before stay as machines were broken and station is not manned. The hotel was amazing and perfect place if visiting Harry Potter studios. The hotel it’s self is perfect and can’t wait to stay again.

A light and airy lounge, bar and restaurant area.
A light and airy lounge, bar and restaurant area. Used for business lunches during weekdays. More children on the weekends due to the proximity to Harry Potter Studios, but they are out all day.
The food menu is diverse enough if you are planning on eating there over a few days, and the food is good.
The staff are welcoming and pleasant, especially at breakfast.
The room was clean and quiet.
I would definitely return there happily.

Lovely area and Boxmoor Lodge is a hidden gem, lovely decorated rooms, lots of extras inside with trouser pressure, iron and iron board in room. Spent 3 days and very comfortable and warm. Breakfast is a must, very good quality and service. Less than 10 minute walk to Hemel Hempstead railway station.
Our room rate included evening dinner and breakfast - the food was of an excellent standard.
The staff were very efficient and friendly
Our room was huge, clean, with clean fresh bedding, and a bathroom
The hotel is only 8 minutes to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre
Clean, modern apartment. Good communication, very easy to check in and out, parking available. Very close to main routes in and out of Hemel Hempstead, easy access for us visiting Harry Potter Studios. Happily recommend and would stay again.
The location of the hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. I did feel the price for 2 nights was a little expensive but it wouldn't stop me from staying again when in the area.
