Katie and the other female staff was very helpful but the rude elderly man working at the desk Sept 29 2024 have no manners. He can bark his orders not to use the table and chairs at breakfast if u buy coffee elsewhere politely and courteously.

The staff was very helpful. I really liked them. The location is across the street from the train station (of course it's not where you can walk directly across, you have to walk a short way to the corner to cross) so that is convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk to the West Quay shopping and restaurant complex, once you find the most direct path which took us a couple of days to figure out. Past that it's what I'd call a nice, adequate hotel. Nothing to write home about. Nothing bad either.
Chilworth Manor is an impressive Edwardian manor house set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens. It has rooms with attached bathroom, a pool, a hot tub and free Wi-Fi.
