Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfection location as I was visiting a friend who lived five mins away. On the sea front and plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was basic but ample.
Set amid 38 acres of woodland and gardens, 3 miles away from the historic towns of Hastings and Battle in East Sussex, the hotel is an ideal base to explore 1066 country.

It was a good stay. The room (3), a single ensuite, was a little smaller than I expected but it had all you would need, with quality bedding, towels, a comfortable bed, chair, with cushions, along with other things you would expect like a chest of drawers and a wardrobe (cupboard). The room had tea/coffee making facilities, which were replenished daily.
I didn’t try the breakfast during my stay but upon exciting the property in the mornings, the aroma coming from the breakfast room smelt good and tempting.
The location of Tower House 1066 is very good. An easy 15-minute walk, downhill, to the train station and to the seafront, a little further on. You don’t have to walk though as there is a frequent bus service (20 and 22), which runs about every ten minutes. The buses seem to start in Hastings town centre, then run along the seafront road and then turn into London Road at St Leonards, which leads past the station and up to a stop close to where the B&B is located. The buses follow the same route to Hastings.
A few minutes’ walk from the B&B is a Lidl supermarket and in a different direction, with a slightly longer walk, is an ASDA supermarket, at Silverhill.
If coming from central Hastings (or Eastbourne) on the bus, you can also catch the 99 bus which takes a different route to the ASDA supermarket. It also passes the Lidl on its journey, as well. Then it is a short walk from either to the accommodation.
Often, when I stay in a hotel or B&B, I encounter arrogant people who slam doors, come back at all hours shouting and yelling, TV’s up loud or talking loudly into their mobile phones for long periods. I had no such issues when staying at the Tower House. In fact, it was so quiet I heard more bird song (my room overlooked lots of greenery at the back) than any faint sounds which could be heard, occasionally, from guests in adjoining rooms or other parts of the B&B.
This beautiful Victorian villa has sea views. It is now a 5-star boutique guest house with free Wi-Fi and luxury rooms with digital TV, DVD players and toiletries.

A very friendly place with a lovely walk along the seafront.
A very friendly place with a lovely walk along the seafront. I enjoyed visiting the Fisheries and Shipwreck Museums and exploring the many quaint cafes in the Old Town. Easy to find your way around, but the Information Centre was also very helpful
I was in Hastings for a family gathering, not a seaside holiday, so didn't spend much time on the beach. it is mostly shingle and pebbles and you do need beach shoes and beach towels if you are going to sit there.

Hastings is a fascinating victorian seaside town with some wonderful history and beautiful buildings.
The pier has new businesses moving in so currently not open fully
There are a lot of confident seaguls, so keep your chips covered!
We walked everywhere in the town, mostly along the promenade and also caught the train to Eastbourne which took about 30 minutes. Plenty of trains run daily and the station is easy to find.
We ate at Dragon Bar on George Street and Bella Napoli (you can see the sea from your table!), both served lovely food with very friendly staff.
The Pump House is a fascinating pub that looks interesting inside as well as out.

Very run down.
Very run down. Sadly Just another typical British Victorian seaside town. Didn’t feel very safe walking about in the evening. Although there was a lovely Italian Restaurant - Fortes. Lovely staff and amazing food!

The old town of Hastings and St Leonards were lovely, a fantastic skate park (Source Skatepark) by the beach and lots of attractions by the beach. The mini train rides and Smugglers adventure is fantastic and a good way to escape bad weather days.
Hastings high street/ main town is run down, uninviting and in desperate need of regeneration.

Location is great, but a bedroom window was unshuttable due to frame swollen so no security first night. The window was srewed shut to the frame the second day.Boiler not working on arrival, fixed late am on day 2 so now showers until later 2nd day.Flat is in need of a good clean, outer windows filthy, very limited cutlery and crockery, fridge stank of fish throughout visit, lounge light not working, missing door handle to bedroom, loo holder missing, jammed lounge sliding door.
Flat in need of alot of updating.Would not stay there again.
A nice Hotel on Hastings Sea Front. Get a room at the front with a balcony overlooking the sea, there is always something going on there. Remember that this is quite an old building, so it can be a little bit wobbly inside, but to us that ads to the character.
The hotel location is really good, and in the heart of Hastings - facilities are nearby and you got the essentials in the room. Industrial style furniture, brand new items.
This a friendly hotel. Breakfast is excellent. There is a bar with comfortable seating. It is on a good bus route. There are many buses into St Leonards or Hastings.
One of the only hotels we could find in the Hastings area with a free on site car park.
Breakfast was good with fast service and good COVID booking procedures.
