It was a good location for after a concert at the Hydro as I was heading south early the next morning and got me south of Glasgow for a good head start. Hotel staff were very helpful with a problem with the room and I was immediately moved to a different and nicer room.

We made Hamilton a base for Glasgow & Edinburgh visits, as it was an easy reach by car to both, as well as to the Highlands or wherever you are heading next. You avoid the big city traffic and restrictions, as it is just a turn from the M74 motorway & a short few minutes drive. Hamilton seemed to be great, quiet, very pleasant and well organised, with wide roads and everything useful in the close proximity. We had a dinner in a pub, a walk in the park on the loch, went shopping to the hypermarket Asda and the local petrol station prices were one of if not the cheapest. We noticed lots of palygrounds, sport facilitites & clubs. We stayed at Hampton by Hilton and it was great, next door and with the views of the horse racing course.

I paid £140 for one night to stay with my family but unfortunately it was a terrible stay. Room was not as per my expectations. No Hot water at all. Poor cleaning. Carpet was too old and smell horrible. Hair in bathroom and on pillow case. Staff was not cooperative. It was a terrible stay in one word if I say. I will never stay there again.

The room was clean The air conditioning didn’t work well The staff were pleasant but required further training The menu was surprisingly limited low budget fare for the price bracket. The food was hot & well served by pleasant staff but low quality cheap tasting preparation of fish in that particular dish Given the popularity of their situation ie the racecourse they could be delivering a much better quality all round experience

We just immigrated from South Africa to Scotland and we needed a hotel that was affordable and clean for our family and dogs while looking for a permanent rental. Being new to the area the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They could answer all our questions about the area and gave good tips regarding shops, areas and sight seeing. The location was perfect as all areas around were accessible near town etc.. and we could travel easily to different places.

Clean and comfortable rooms and nice breakfast. And plenty of parking space right in front of the hotel! Hotel staff is very kind. We borrowed an iron and an EU adapter for the socket which we forgot to bring. We booked here because it was nearby a wedding we had to attend but by car it’s a 15 min drive to the city center which was also perfect!

No breakfast, but that is advertised in advance. However, the owners pointed me to a nearby cafe that did marvellous breakfasts. They also allowed takeaways to be taken into the hotel, and consumed in the dining area. There was a microwave there, and cutlery. Very helpful owners.

Reception staff and the manageress were extremely cheery, helpful and welcoming. The room was larger than other Holiday Inn Expresses we've stayed in. The breakfast had a wide enough range for all tastes. All areas in the hotel were clean and tidy.
