Apartment very roomy and couldn't have asked for a better situated place . Shower was excellent , service excellent
Don't get this with the new hotels such as premier inn
A really lovely hotel. Food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing (apart from Tart Tatin very soggy pastry). Staff professional, helpful and friendly.
Disappointed couldn’t have a cocktail at bar. However, a fab place to stay.

The perfect getaway. Achmeney pod sits 3 miles from Halkirk in a peaceful quiet rural area. The pod is surprisingly bigger than it looks. It comfortably accommodates 2 with a double bedroom, kitchen and living area with its own toilet and shower. The bed was cozy and the pod is well insulated so always nice and warm. On arrival Andrea came and met us and showed us around and how to work the hot tub. ( the hot tub is amazing lol) will definitely recommend to friends and family and will definitely come back again
Breakfast very good, lots of options. Dinner in al la carte restaurant excellent. Bedroom a decent size and comfortable.
Would stay again, as clean and comfortable and food good and really using it as a pre/post ferry overnight stop - but I would wish to know if the room was in the hotel or an outbuilding next time and get one with better soundproofing (see below)!
lovely old hotel sitting on edge of River Thurso , beautiful decor inside , friendly and helpful staff , and the foo from breakfast to the resturant was delicous , best i've had for a scottish hotel .would highly recommend if staying in this area
We were put in a deluxe lodge instead as our booked accommodation was no longer available. The lodge was part of the nearby Ulbster Arms Hotel also owned by the owners which was fantastic. Food at the hotel was very good.
