43A Crown Street, hotel in Halifax

43A Crown Street is situated in Halifax, 25 km from White Rose Shopping Centre, 27 km from Trinity Leeds, and 27 km from Leeds Town Hall.

The room is brilliant and it was a nice touch to have tea / coffee and milk waiting. A special nice touch was to leave a packet of rolos and a picnic bar in the fridge. Great location for us as we were going to see a band at the Victoria theatre so a short walk and a 10 minute walk from the train station. Also to note nice and warm on entering and a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed. Good communication by the owner / landlord. We would 100% stay here again.

Surprisingly good place for a 2 day visit with amongst others very friendly residents who take great pride in Halifax and their environs. Must visit Piece Hall and Halifax Industrial Museum - both steeped in political and social history

We visited for a concert at Victoria Theatre and a few real ale pubs. They were excellent. The town is full of very old buildings and the Piece Hall is definately worth a look. The Vic is a superbly run old venue.

Halifax is a strange Yorkshire town, seemingly built on a hill, but is still worth a visit, particularly if you like the Dales and the scenery in the area. I am from South Yorkshire originally, but am giving my honest opinion. The only bugbear, was that there were extensive roadworks on the main routes, within and through the town, causing major delays all over, on the day I visited, and you all know how these can take ages to undertake!

The problem with Halifax at the moment is that the centre is under construction making it very hard to get from A to B. So mostly I found the place annoying!! That's why I spent most of the time out in the surrounding countryside...beautiful.

There was a lot going on in the peace hall there at the time of music festival. The shops are amazing there like the antiques shops and this retro video game shop what I found very cool as took me back in time 😄 also the bars and restaurants there are high quality at reasonable prices.

Beautiful room that was lovely and clean. The bed was nice and comfy, myself and my daughter got a great night's sleep. Very friendly family run hotel. Gorgeous views from our room. The breakfast was great quality and very tasty. The coffee machine in our room was much appreciated after all the driving I had done that day. Wish I had booked a longer stay!

Gorgeous boutique style hotel. Made to feel very welcome. Setting is gorgeous. Bar dishes and breakfast both delicious. I wish we stayed for a week! Only a few mins taxi ride to Halifax (we stayed for a gig at Piece Hall) so why would you stay at basic city centre hotels when you have luxury down the road for the same price?

We loved Halifax and our hotel, which is located right next to the town hall. The reception girls Ciara and Emily were very helpful, professional and the room clean, warm and comfy. We absolutely recommend the White Swan hotel. Thank you very much for making our trip memorable. Zuzana and Attila.
