Great location, nice room ( not a sea view), comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast - all at a good price. Added bonus of pretty and melodious church bells close by to give a unique stamp to our stay.
Located in Helensburgh and with Glasgow Botanic Gardens reachable within 24 miles, Rooms Above Sugar Boat has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.

We really liked the suite it was very comfortable, lovely and so clean
Interesting grand architecture. Visited when Queen Anne cruise ship was docked which helped to imagine how it must have been during its ship building past. Friendly and interesting place, post ship building community.

Great find along the bank of the River Clyde.
Great find along the bank of the River Clyde. Basic room but well equipped and very clean. Man who checked us in was very helpful and explained everything. Near to the historic centre and opposite Lidl supermarket.
Recommend eating at Spicycurry Nepalese restaurant behind the bus station.
The Waverley steamer also runs tours from just outside!

Greenock has a good selection of supermarkets and shops together with an inviting waterfront along which to stroll.
Enjoyed our trip on the paddle steamer Waverley. Found Greenock a friendly place to visit with a selection of shopping outlets mostly within a short walking distance.

The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. We had travelled to Greenock for the funeral of a close relative and we found this to be a true haven where we could rest and enjoy a modicum of tranquility before travelling home again.

I work in Greenock but stayed at the Waterfron to attend an event at the Alabany due to the train strikes that week. My room was a student room next to other occupied student rooms so I could hear a lot of noise from the next room - radio, someone talking loudly on his phone. The worst part was the lack of hot water in the shower. I asked the manager about this and he said it was an issue with the water pressure. He said he would fix it but it still didn't work on the second morning of my stay.

The room had a musty, sewage smell when I entered, it was not clean, cups dirty, bits of noodles on floor. Only one sachet of coffee, cobwebs on roof round edges. Toilet small and smelly of something maybe sewage and damp. Never slept well, actually if had somewhere else to go I would have left at 2am in morning. Positives, view was amazing but that was it.

On arrival we were given an upgrade, which was lovely, room was excellent. In the morning the breakfast was excellent great choice, however the full cooked breakfast was a winner with me.
The staff on reception on arrival and the staff at breakfast service were very helpful
I would'nt hesitate in booking with this particular hotel again, I have also recommended to friends who might have to overnight in Inverclyde
Location and facilities were great. Easy access to local amenities and within walking distance of most area such as restaurants, train station etc. My sister lives in Greenock and her apartment was a very short walk away which made it very handy.
Cheap and budget friendly hotel if you're in Greenock or stopping by. 5mins walk to city centre. Parking is on the street around the hotel. Close to the water also which has some nice views
