Amazing greenery around. Very comfortable room as well as shower and bathroom. Host was amazing and very hospitable and made arrangements for my breakfast considering I had to leave early in the morning. I would definitely stay there again.

What an amazing village/town.
What an amazing village/town. Really pretty and fantastic shops. Planning to come back at Christmas to do all my gift shopping. I'm a charity shop fiend and bought the most amazing items - stool, belt, mans shirt and a silver designer dress suit. Amazing walks around the village and such friendly folk!

On the site of it's advertisement it's got picture of a full English breakfast . And states very good breakfast included ! The day we set off we got an email to say no full English breakfast . This should have been stated on the site before booking . You could not turn heating off so when opened windows you could here everyone drunk and stunk of smoke . I suffer from real bad anxiety and would not dare go and raise the issues . This was making me Ill . I asked for room to be cleaned 2 days in to our stay and our bedding wasnt changed and bins were still full . Nearly broke my back on the one way system as carpets are all same colour and the step has no warning so that hurt a bit as you can't make it out . The carpets on stairs were pitted with muck and stains and felt dirty .

We only spent one evening in the village, but it felt very far from the "commuter Essex" we have known closer to London. Neither did it feel as close to Stansted Airport as one might have expected. No particular tourist sights or attractions, but Great Dunmow (and perhaps the Saracen's Head) might be a good base from which to see other sights, deeper into Essex and Suffolk.
Perfect hideaway in a beautiful bit of countryside. The barn is extremely well appointed; it was indeed “immaculate” and everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable. Although close to the main house, it was incredibly quiet throughout our stay and we both slept like logs thanks to the blackout blinds and comfy bed/bedding. The hosts made us feel very welcome – we didn’t need anything during our stay but it was good to know they were nearby in case we had.
I really leave hotel at 4 am but the problem is there is far way from shopping and very difficult to get taxis as well otherwise the place is so nice and very kind stuff. I will appreciate that guy cooperated me to airport buy his car and he took me to the shopping centre. as well.
Thank you so much for everything.
Great hotel. First time staying here, although we have used the bar/restaurant on previous occasions. Will definitely stay again. Lovely room, good breakfast, nice staff and they accept dogs. They have parking on site too.
Absolutely beautiful farm! Amazing views to wake up to from the shepherd's hut. Would highly recommend, everything and more that was needed. Amazing hospitality from the owners and loved having the chickens near the hut.
Booked this hotel for extended family for wedding at Reid Rooms. They all said it was friendly, Comfortable and clean with good breakfast. Did not stay myself.
