Have stayed a number of times at this hotel and one of the stand-out things for me, beng coeliac, is the number of gluten free food options offered. This time the hotel was exceptionally quiet with few guests. We twice had dinner in the bar, with the main restaurant closed, and a restricted menu the first time, which wasn't so good. The staff are always very cheery and helpful.

Beautiful, light, tasteful modern lodgings. It was easy to find and the hosts were very welcoming. It was fabulous to watch the sheep and all the birds from out of the windows, and to see stars at night through the bedroom skylight. The log fire was wonderful, too.

Grantown is a nice picturesque highland small town with good high street shopping - the small supermarkets in town had a big selection of Scottish Whisky at very good prices. Hotel/Restuarants were very good.

This is a good place to explore Grant clan history and local history. The museum is a must. The 2 people there were very knowledgable. There are trails everywhere so great for hiking. Landscape is very varied: a field, stream, forest moss covered bumps among trees looks like something out of a fairy tale.

Grantown is a very pleasant community which has tourist facilities but has a 'life of its own' and does not solely rely on tourists. It has a pleasant museum & golf course and excellent places to walk. It feels very safe. It is a very good base from which to radiate out both into the Cairngorms, along the Spey and up to the north coast. We stayed four nights which fitted with other plans we had but I could happily have spent a full week here.

The location was central and convenient for shops and eating out. Lovely woodland walks nearby too. Lots of places to visit in the car. This was an old cottage and the owners have tried to bring it up to date with new windows, heating and a lovely shower room upstairs. There were nice touches like a torch, umbrella and binoculars by the door. It was cleaned well and smelled fresh on entering.

We booked Ben Mhor just the day before our stay. We wanted a dog friendly hotel, in the centre of Granton on Spey. Ben Mhor ticked all the boxes. We had dinner and breakfast and couldn't fault either. Reasonably priced good food. The room was perfect for us. Bed super comfy. We all had a great sleep after a long day driving.
