Size of rooms were good and the bread at breakfast was really nice. Lovely staff on arrival. Rooms were clean. Location perfect.

Everything was pleasant apart from the scaffolding but it is what it is and proves works on the building keep to regulations/standards, the receptionist was amazing and welcoming.

Lovely stay, didn't spend much time here but it was very nice and comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Close enough to town bit not in town.

Great central location, nice rooms, nice addition of microwave and fridge. Friendly staff went out of their way to help putting an air filter in the room before we arrived to help with severe hayfever.

Bed was comfortable, had all the facilities I needed, with a microwave that I wasn't expecting. The owner made sure everything was in my room, made sure there was fresh milk in the fridge and offered to take my luggage up to the top floor.
Nothing in the room was torn, broken or worn out, the decor could do with an update as it's a little dated and mismatched.
I liked the thick curtains to block out the light and the sash window I could open to let in some air.
I left early and the clear instruction for leaving the key on the peg board was convenient and easy to follow. The building is a listed building and so there are some compromises as far as modernisation are concerned, but I like properties with character so didn't bother me.

There are some lovely restaurants in Cheltenham, and Gloucester is interesting to visit. A hike up the Malvern Hills is recommended, the there is an app with detailed walks and durations.
Try and visit Bourton on the Water, it’s lovely!

The cathedral is amazing, and the coffee shop hidden in there was also a delight.
There is a nice shopping area in the centre of Gloucester.
Beatrix Potter shop and small museum was a delight.
We visited the nature in art exhibition at a nearby stately home and it was really interesting.
The quays were perfect in the evening for a meal -lots of choices of restaurants.

We liked the old town which was very pretty but not pretentious. A bit run down in places but lots of new developments too, eg the Gloucester Docks. Lots of independent pubs and restaurants, not overpriced. Friendly people. Lots of history. Everything really close to centre and quiet for a city (except for the seagulls)!

Beautiful cathedral which is what we came to see. Good transport links to other towns - Worcester and Tewkesbury. Docks area is attractive with restaurants, bars etc. and the area around the cathedral has some nice shops, tea rooms etc.

It’s very easy to reach Gloucester from the hotel especially if you like shopping at the Gloucester Quays. Found it very handy to get to Stroud and Painswick as well and the M5 motorway.
I personally wouldn’t use the bistro pub for meals at the Gloucester quays- the high orchard. Microwave meals with the wrong prices still in the menus and bar staff manager who couldn’t give a toss.
Cheltenham is nice to eat in if you fancy a day out and lots of dog friendly places too.
Lovely clean room and convenient location to where we wanted to visit. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was at the front of the hotel so if the window was open it was alittle noisy due to being next to a main busy road but when it was closed we didn't hear anything. Aircon in the room was fab. Considering we paid a cheap price for the room it was much better than I expected. We had a comfortable stay and would come again if we visited Gloucester another time.
The flowers in view of the kitchen, it has a hot tub, and jacuzzi bath, the fire in the middle room, in peaceful countryside near a bakery, pub, hotel, farm house, close to town and stroud farmers market, equally close to Gloucester. The host is a nurse, and the closest hospital is 20minute drive. The host left cakes and eggs which was sweet, and recommended afternoon tea nearby.
The property was close to where I was working and close to all the Gloucester had to offer. It also has free parking which is a premium in the centre. The rooms are big with all that is required for an overnight stay. The bed is comfortable and I fell asleep with no problems which is not always the case when I stay in hotel beds.
The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Gloucester and is perfect for visitors to this historic city. The staff are very friendly and I enjoyed the informal atmosphere. Most of all I liked the black cat that visits the courtyard.
