John was exceptionally attentive and helpful when I had a bronchitis and was considering seeking medical care. That was before I ever reached his property. My daughter and I were offered two rooms, both spacious, and well appointed there were a variety of snacks, yogurts, and drinks available in each room. The sitting room is lovely and filled with good reads.

Its located in a beautiful village with incredibly views all around. The family that run the guesthouse could not have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. I decided to eat there one evening as well as they do evening meals. I was blown away by how good it was. Highly recommended to eat there if you are staying anywhere close to it.

Super clean, super spacious room! The bed was comfortable. Tall ceilings and windows . Delicious shortbread cookies left by our host, who was super nice. Room even had tissues, which was the ONLY place we stayed in Ireland/ Scotland that provided them. Nice large tub and seperate shower. Location was convenient to walking to town. Cute bunnies in pen in front. Breakfast was great! Would highly recommend. One of our favorite places we stayed.

This is a lovely little gem, with a little walk (5 minute) up the hill there are some amazing views to take in. The room and directions were spot on, we met some lovely people (other guests) there too, it's a short drive into Campbeltown where we were attending for my dads funeral. I would highly recommend this place for you to stay, I will book again when I come back to see my dad again.

I loved the rooms, nice decoration, really clean and comfortable beds. I did not enjoy the fact that bathroom was not inside the room, however really close and it was our private bathroom. Really good breakfast in the morning, staff really friendly.

Glenbarr was a very small village but we were only a short drive away from Cambelltown for provisions, meals out. Glenbarr is not far from the ferries to Islay and Arran although we didnt use them this trip. Also we travelled to Tarbert another lovely town.
