Emergency room booking at 11pm ( no way of getting home after spending the day at the local hospital). Checked in at around midnight. I had to ring the bell on reception for attention which was soon answered. Chose my breakfast options and was shown to my room.
I needed a good nights sleep and wow! I slept like a baby, the bed was so comfortable! Was woken up bang on time when my complimentary breakfast was delivered. Breakfast of porridge, pastry, coffee and iced juice was delicious…
The only negative was I couldn’t fathom out how to use the smarter than me tv. If my stay was longer, I’d have asked.
The room was very clean, tastefully furnished and good for a short stay ( limited drawer and clothes hanging space). A great, powerful, en-suite shower. Hairdryer, chocolates on the pillow, beverage station in room. What more could you want?
On first appearance, the hotel looked ‘posh’ and impressive; it did not disappoint. Great value for money.

Bus stopped right outside Black Swan and went into Manchester so no need to drive.
Close to airport.
Would visit again when all back to some kind of normal.

Beautiful little village definitely would recommend calling to the olde red lion pub had lunch there food was amazing plenty of it ( and proper home made chips )cheap and service was very warm and welcoming , pool table and dart board which the football on the tv very much a local pub but made to feel welcome , beautiful views and trails and walks.

The hotel was comfortable after a room change. Breakfast was well presented and just right.
One afternoon surprised to find a steam tractor in the car park. Seems local owners visit the bar when their engine is in steam. Had an interesting chat with the driver and fireman.
We had a lovely stay here. Everything about the hotel was more than we expected. Staff very friendly, service was outstanding, couldnt do enough for us and the room very nice and spotless
