Miner's cottage we stayed in was Awsome!

Miner's cottage we stayed in was Awsome! One minute walk to Asda and 5/10 minute walk to beach, not much of a town centre now (bit run down) But that didn't deflect from our thoroughly enjoyable relaxing break, my Pupster absolutely had the best time at the beach, all in all we had a lovely time 😎👍😃

Girvan is a hidden gem. Gorgeous old buildings.

Girvan is a hidden gem. Gorgeous old buildings. Beautiful, clean beach and harbour. And genuinely friendly people. I had a great curry there too, at Jasmine’s. Art centre, community garden, great library, antique shops and brilliant accommodation at the Southfield Hotel. All easy walking. Surrounding hills and scenic views of Alisa Craig and Arran are stunning.

Great views across the sea to Ailsa Craig.

Great views across the sea to Ailsa Craig. Apart from that it's a dump! Noisy Fair across the road from our B&B. Rows of neglected terraced seafront houses and B&Bs. Gangs of noisy kids roaming. Numerous closed and derelict shops on the High Street. Would never go back again.

The beach was fantastic and clean.

The beach was fantastic and clean. The town centre was closed when we were there but plenty of shops to look around. Fantastic views all around from every road. From mountains to the beach and lots of old historic looking buildings. Lovely harbour to walk on and a you can catch the ferry to Ireland. We enjoyed our overnight stay there. Lovely fish and chips from the fish shop near the harbour. Lots of parking. Everything mentioned was all within walking distance of each other.

A lovely quiet cottage up a lane that houses a few other cottages. The cottage is a short walk from the beach and the town. Beach was clean and had a pleasant promenade. The town has some empty shops at present. The local people were very friendly.

It’s a lovely place for dog walkers or couples or lone travellers to go, for family’s it’s ok but you need to travel into girvan for a decent play park, they have a small kids soft play which will entertain young kids from age of 3-6 years as it wasn’t up to much! There is amusements for the older kids, a lovely harbour and decent enough park, there is also boat trips you can go on aswell! It’s a nice enough place but I’d say it would be more suited to couples rather than families with a few young children! There is a very small asda also and few shops to explore within the town! You also have turnberry lighthouse that you can visit and culzean castle, it’s £30 to walk the grounds of culzean castle without going into that actual castle it’s self!

The cleanliness, relaxing, modern decor, the beautiful and spacious bathroom. The peace and quiet. Stargazing and seeing the milky way so clearly. Just brilliant. Oh and the lovely welcome prosecco and Cadbury's fingers. They didn't last long! Great to have a little porch come boot room to leave shoes etc. Cottage is just a couple of minutes from Girvan town centre but very peaceful. Best of both worlds.

Not a lot to like about this property. I would expect in any HOTEL to have all facilities,ie dining room, full time staff, a bar with all that one would expect in a well ran hotel, and this property did,nt have these.

Ideal location from off the ferry in Cairnryan. Suitable for people who would be nervous regarding Covid, everything self contained within your room if needed. Lovely little beach opposite hotel.
