The room was large and spacious. And all the fittings seemed nice. The price was also very good and it was only a short walk to the train station.

The Bull is very clean and well organized.
The Bull is very clean and well organized. The staff were always friendly and respectful. A beautiful place to get married and have your reception. Also five minutes walk from a lovely high street and trains/ transport system. 😀😀😀

We really enjoyed the hotel.
We really enjoyed the hotel. Our room had everything we required. One issue was that the floorboards were very squeeky and therefore pretty annoying. We appreciate it must be difficult to resolve this problem. Also it was very noisy on the Friday evening, mainly caused by a stag night!
We had a good breakfast one day and found a couple of very good restaurants in the village within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in Gerrards Cross as a convenient base for visiting friends and family. We did not really consider it as a holiday location. However, the train station is a few minutes walk away and the village common looked inviting although time and weather prevented us exploring.

We stayed overnight as our daughter was flying from Heathrow...
We stayed overnight as our daughter was flying from Heathrow back to Canada the next morning. The good thing about the hotel was the convenience, and the proximity to other relatives. We met these relatives in the bar for a drink in the evening, which was nice.
However, the hotel was very tatty, and tired. In addition, there was a pervasive smell of damp/sewers upstairs including in our room. The windows in our room would not close, and the glass was cracked, with torn net curtains. The windows along the main corridor were open and locked in that way. Carpets were dirty, and the hot tap on the wash basin was loose so it had to be held to operate the tap. The toilet seat was hanging off too. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. We had two tea bags in our room and had to ask for more so we had enough for tea in the morning. We won’t be returning!

Lovely village with lots of choices to eat within walking distance of Ethorpe hotel. A full size grocery store and 2 options for a chemist/ pharmacy if you need anything. As well as a post office. Easy cab options. Also right on train line.

I had an impromptu overnight stay. I booked the hotel late Friday evening at 8pm and checked in at 8:30 pm. Check in was a doddle and staff were extremely helpful in directing me to local facilities in the town as I arrived too late to take of dining in the restaurant. The superior deluxe double room I stayed in was extremely well appointed and made for a much needed relaxing and comfortable night stop. I awoke in the morning fully refreshed and rested and after a delicious breakfast I was set up to continue on my way.
I had a really easy and relaxed stay at the Ethorpe, which I believe has been recently refurbished and is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The room was furnished nicely, and quiet, with all the facilities I needed, and everything worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was in a great location (near local shops, and the train station, with direct train into London), the food in the restaurant below was good, and generally there was a good atmosphere.
lovely staff and place looked nice - carpark was ideal
sadly the place had a massive flood few days before i arrived - room was unaffected but no food and no drinks in the evening - but did go to a great Indian restaurant in the town just a very short walk away
hotel did a breakfast next morning and was amazing - thank you - staff were just brilliant given the situation they were faced with - i will come back
