Has great facilities and a great host! Everything you need and really close to an asda, tesco and home bargains etc. Extra beds, orange juice, milk, cereal, coffee machine etc were supplied and was really nicely decorated. Host even offered a late checkout due to the next people not being able to make it due to weather.

From the greeting at the inn to my father's departure everything was 1st class. My father said it was like staying in a five star hotel, very comfy bed, great shower and lovely clean, modern room with tea/coffee facilities and some tea cakes his favourite 😍 also had complimentary water both still and sparkling. Never heard any noise and slept very well.

Beautiful, clean, and everything we could need. Very well positioned flat, close to the centre of Galashiels. The hosts kindly provided various tea and coffee which was wonderful.
The scenery surrounding Galashiels is beautiful.
There were plenty of options for eating places in the centre of the town, near to the bus and train station.
St Peter's Scottish Episcopal Church is a friendly place to worship.

We used to live here - this was a trip down memory lane with our daughters. Paulo's Italian restaurant is excellent. We visited the tapestry and did some hill walking (Eildon's, Southern Upland Way.

Not the most obvious tourist destination of the Border towns, but with the superb Great Tapestry of Scotland centre, an array of very good small shops, cafés and restaurants (I went to the recommended Quin's) and easy access to Abbotsford House (Sir Walter Scott's home), plenty to offer. Good walks along the Tweed too; and with such good transport links an excellent base for exploring the Borders.

When visiting Galashiels you would be advised to take a car if you can drive.
Although the buses are just as good but down load the borders bus app to your phone
I would also recommend down loading the scot rail train app

Dalvy was a most attentive host, who provided a good simple breakfast before I left the following morning, and who also kindly provided me with a hot meal after the watching the local football team on a damp ,autumny Saturday afternoon.
I also enjoyed our lengthy chat after the meal ,and left in the morning to return to my temporary Cheshire base, with excellent memories of my short overnight stop in Galashiels.
Thank you Dalvy
The setting was lovely, however, it is rural. If you like quiet its perfect. Throughly enjoyed the surroundings. Galashiels is a nice town and we had a lovely Italian and Indian meal. The challet is warm and comfortable and has everything you need. Bedding and towels are good quality and spotless. The owners live near, they are discreet but helpful. My small dog was wellcome. We had a really nice stay
Located on outskirts of Gala, lovely setting. Loved the interior, so apparent that this is in longtime individual ownership, unlike the usual chain owned hotels
