I had a confirmation email advising I was booked in. Turned up and it was in complete darkness and had scaffolding around the building. It turns out it wasn't open for business. Happy to take my money though but not responding to emails to return my money. Out of pocket now as I had to find alternative accommodation. Wouldn't use booking.com again.

Fabulous stay. Excellent value. Great hosts and breakfast was above and beyond. ! Will recommend and return.
We loved our short but sweet stay at Brampton dales farm.
We loved our short but sweet stay at Brampton dales farm. We plan to return again for longer. Owner and Staff were very accomodating and room and food were excellent. Loved meeting the animals too.
The local pubs were good too. Very pleasant and welcoming at the Rose and crown and fab food at the fox and hounds. If you get to try the local chippy, they are best we have tasted!!👍😋

A town of mixed fortune that is starting to find its feet after a tough few years. Lots of incredible history to explore: from viking ships landing to Pilgrim Fathers planning their voyage on the Mayflower but a town centre that's a derelict ghost town. Development badly needed alongside an improved railway connection to the bigger local towns nearby. It does have a B+M but it also has the worst KFC in England according to my brother who we were visiting. In general, the restaurant choice is very poor indeed: far too many takeaways being the only other real food options. Not great that.

We go to Gainsborough ever year or so, partly to see the Trent Bore - see picture. The Bore is often a bit of a disappointment but once or twice has been wonderful, a natural marvel.
Other attractions are Gainsborough Old Hall and Gainsborough Model Railway. Sundown kids adventure land isn't too far away.

Gainsborough is a small old port town with lots of old riverside warehouses. Some are now flat`s others are cafes and eateries. The town centre is a typical market square with shops around and along little lanes. Just off from town is The Old Hall and All Saints Church.
There are some Real Ale pubs The Elm Cottage being one, just up from the church, and the 8 Jolly Brewers in town.
Access into the surrounding countryside is easy with beautiful walks and other Towns close by.

It's an historic and once grand hotel, full of charm but it is still a building site sadly.
The rooms was clean and comfortable.
It isn't that easy to fund as it is in a pedestrian zone and the satnav knows where it is but likes a scenic tour!
Parking is excellent once found, in a large secure covered coach house.
The hotel attracts ghost hunters and there's a few spooky stories online but they didn't come out during the stay.
There's no restaurant but plenty in about a minute away.
