Full Moon Inn Rudge, hotel in Frome

Situated in Frome, 14 km from Longleat Safari Park, Full Moon Inn Rudge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

A warm cheerful welcome to brighten the day (weather was not so bright). Clean facilities, comfy beds and nice room. Tasty breakfast options and nice cereal/breakfast buffet. Could see the white horse on the hill from our room. Cosy pub with country aesthetics. Loved the pheasant feather lampshades! Dinner was lovely, just a shame we didn't have room for pudding! The homemade welcome biscuits were a great touch and went down well with our cup of tea from the tea station in our room. Would happily stay again!

Frome is a historic, pretty and slightly quirky town. Historic buildings, loads of places to eat and drink and a variety of retail outlets including some national chains. I particlarly enjoyed walking around the central area, and the museum was very good. Well worth a visit

This was our first visit to Frome, our time visiting was only short on this occasion. Frome was busy and it was nice to see independent shops, cafes and businesses on the town. The architecture is lovely with lots of different buildings and narrow streets. We enjoyed a meal in a local Italian restaurant and visited the Cheese and Grain cafe, both were excellent. We will definitely visit Frome again.

I was only visiting for two days for a wedding so didn't really have the chance to explore. From what I could tell it is a lovely town. I would recommend bringing your own vehicle. I needed to pre-book a taxi and despite lots of taxi numbers being available three did not connect, so I can assume they have gone out of business, and all the others were already booked to take people to Heathrow Airport. These are not taxi firms with multiple drivers. Just one driver per number. I did manage to find someone free, who was awesome, and even kept his mobile switched on and asked me to text him when I was ready to get a lift back.

We liked the independent shops on Catherine Hill but there seemed a lot of empty and closed retail shops since our last visit years ago which was sad to see. The area we had to walk through to get from the property to the town centre was a bit rough and we decided to cut our stay short - one or two days is enough to see the town

Very hilly access to main shopping area.

Very hilly access to main shopping area. Stayed in Frome for easy access to Longleat but visited Wells and would suggest if you're planning a longer trip, stay there. Wells is far more interesting. We stayed at Bistro Lotte in Frome for two nights. Good place and nice food for the evening but not cheap (£60 a head with wine). Went for fish and chips at the White Row Farm, Beckington for the second (Friday) evening.

The apartment looks like the photos and is well located to visit Frome and surrounding region. We didn't meet our host but check-in and check-out are easy. Informations provided are clear enough so we had no question. Gemma and Matt are responsive to mails. The dedicated car parking is an advantage though located within the communal area less appealing than the Georgian Manor and it's front entrance, same for the view from the bay window on the rear side of the Manor.

This is a small family home and has that feel. The cottage is a short walk to the lanes of Frome and felt well located. It only took 10 mins to walk home each night. The area is quiet and parking was easy. The kitchen was particularly nice and the main room we spent time in as it was spacious, light and airy. The master bedroom is big and the bed comfortable. The cottage was simply laid out and easy to be in.

The vintage hotel is absolutely lovely, offering lots of charme while also being up to a high standard. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast at the bar area, both of which were delicious. Our dog was very well received and loved being cuddled. Would definitely recommend!
