Good breakfast choice good size bed evening meal good but not much choice
What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

Fortrose is a beautiful village with historic buildings and the main attraction is the opportunity to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point. There are pubs and restaurants as well as the beach at Rosemarkie within walking distance of the village.

Fortrose and the nearby villages Rosemarkie and Cromarty are some of the most interesting architecturally, historically and environmentally on the Black Isle. While Fortrose is known for the 'dolphin show' at Chanonry Point the town itself is well worth the visit. The ruined cathedral and surrounding area is very interesting and many of the properties are on a grand scale reflecting Fortrose's former importance as an early medieval Christian religious centre.
Fortrose is served by a few good places to eat (check opening days and times however) and a well stocked Co-op is the only main shop for essentials (and the extra holiday wine if required).

Steven and Fiona make you feel very welcome and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. The location is fantastic, making you feel like you are deep in the middle of the countryside when in actual fact Fortrose town is just 5 mins down the hill. Their lovable Jack Russell dog Broxy is really friendly and the rooms are very cosy and spotlessly clean. We would stay in Hillhaven, when visiting the area again, for sure!
This was not your typical hotel. But absolutely well worth a visit and stay. The staff were tremendous. Everything was great once you became accustomed to the place. It was great. The breakfast was great. Everything. I would thoroughly recommend it
Applegrove is a lot more spacious than the listing suggests. It was warm, clean, quiet and comfortable. Excellent location for Fortrose shops and rest of Black Isle. Garden is a nice bonus. Owners responsive and helpful.
The house is superb. It is light, airy and comfortable with lovely spacious rooms and a superb secure garden. It is in an excellent location in Fortrose.
