The staff were so friendly and as I stayed one my own it was a god send. Place has a lot of character, shame they don’t do breakfast every day. However there is an amazing breakfast just across the road.
Also had an amazing curry in the restaurant.

Fantastic to be able to stay and have lovely drinks and dinner, and the breakfast was very good! Loved the bedrooms, nice decor and very very comfy beds! Our Bernedoodle Mr Darcy felt at home with the doggy menu available at the bar. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Gym facilities were excellent compared to Luton Hoo. Room had very low ceilings especially in the shower. Service on terrace was very slow during the day, but good once we got served. Dinner was superb. Cocktails were great. Staff were friendly. Hotel and grounds were beautiful.

Very helpful manager who went out of his way to ensure he was there to welcome us. Friendly and professional service throughout, combined with relaxed atmosphere.
Best full English breakfast we have had on holiday, with the option to enjoy it outside in the sunshine.

I loved this area, and the bus can get you to the town and there's plenty to eat and explore in town BUT to get to the beautiful ashdown forest or forests/farms around, I would recommend having a car.

We booked for our anniversary and it was exactly as we had hoped. A little bit of luxury, solitude, and relaxation. The food was excellent (although a little slow in the restaurant). The room was very comfortable and spacious. The grounds are delightful for a walk (we did 4km, but there are shorter walks). The staff were all friendly and helpful and the relaxing back massage was amazing! We made a good decision to eat in the Brasserie on the second night as it was more relaxed.

Forest Row has some lovely independent boutique shops, restaurants and there are other lovely places to visit nearby too. Ashdown Forest has many walks and a visit to Pooh Corner and Pooh Bridge is a must ... or it always is for us!

Property is situated along the road but was still quiet.
Property is situated along the road but was still quiet. Beds are soft & comfortable. The owner was also very hospitable. It is actually a property with so much potential. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't have staff to help him provide full service such as keeping the bar & kitchen going. Hence, it is basically a place to sleep. Not a problem though since there are café's just outside of the hotel.
Disliked · Sad that it cannot provide full service due to lack of staff. I can imagine how wonderful it would have been.

The Forest Row has a lot of rooms, mine was clean and well presented, the staff was very helpful, plenty of parking.
I was part of a large motorcycle group touring the area, so being a large group can be difficult, but all was accommodated for without hesitation.

I loved the tradition and the character of the hotel.
I loved the tradition and the character of the hotel. It was full of history and the location in the forest looked beautiful, although we just stayed the one night and then travelled to near by family in Haywards Heath !! However, the hotel is in need of urgent upgrade of curtains , carpets etc. The hotel looks very tired.
Overall a really excellent stay, the hotel is a lovely building set in beautiful grounds - with one of the most incredible rhododendrons I've ever seen outside if you visit in April!
I also loved that the restaurants championed local produce - so much of the food was from local Sussex farms/dairies/vineyards, which I think is brilliant for the local economy and the environment.
The staff were also very attentive and polite, and were a pleasure.
The main part of the hotel is lovely with a nice medium-sized restaurant and a separate bar, both serving the same food. I had three evening meals and two breakfasts and it was all delicious. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Plenty of spare parking at the rear.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Forest Row had a few places to have a breakfast and evening meal, besides the pub.
The hotel was ideal for me to meet with my family member who lives and works near the village. In addition there are a number of eateries nearby that we made use of.
