Nice hotel and value for money. The staff were welcoming and friendly which helped as I was on my own. The rooms are dated but perfectly comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Location was great for us as we have family in the town. The room was independent from the pub at ground level and it was quiet and near the car-park. It was comfortable enough but the wooden hanging space for coats was awkwardly placed by the bed... Old-fashioned bathroom facilities with shower over bath and curtain but clean. It as warm and cosy though. Breakfast available in the pub was average but staff very friendly

A beautiful little village on the banks of the Avon river in the heart of the New Forest. As this was purely an overnight stay we did not get the option to explore the area, however, there were a number of beautiful pubs and restuarants in the area.

It's not the place for you if you're looking for modern shops. Eating places are quite poor though you can go to Salisbury or Southampton. If you just want a quiet peaceful holiday without going to travel to other places, there is a park with facilities for children in the centre of the town. Seemed very inactive even at weekend. .

Lovely old bridge and river that ran through the town.
Lovely old bridge and river that ran through the town. The George pub has wonderful views of both , with good food and decor and service . Didn’t have time to explore the shops but could do with more cafes . Fabulous kids playground right by the river with car park , excellent football pitches , skate board ramp and basketball court and a cafe /toilets and a paddling pool in the summer . Very lovely farm and cafe called Hocky’s farm just outside Fordingbridge .

Fordingbridge is very easy to get around, there are lots of nice restaurants nearby and lovely scenic walks. I had fabulous lunches at The George and The Royal Oak, and I had a yummy breakfast at The Potting Shed. It's a great place to visit for a short break.

The river is beautiful. some interesting food shops, especially traditional butchers.
Traffic heavy at times through village centre combined with narrow pavements requires attention when walking especially with young children.

Friendly helpful staff. Quiet room despite a busy Friday night in the pub. A spacious room with facilities incl a double and single bed. I chose single with best hotel bed I ve ever slept in, soft and decent sprung base and mattress. Excellent huge breakfast. Quiet peaceful countryside location. Very good value for money compared to other venues allowing a dog.
Every aspect of this hotel was amazing. The staff on arrival were friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible and every request was met, nothing was too much trouble. The manager even made me a cocktail even though they were not on the menu, he obliged 🙂. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Location is excellent being in the centre of Fordingbridge, but situated off a quiet paved area away from noise and traffic. The house was clean and tidy and well equipped and warm (important in February). The bathrooms were clean and practical and the beds comfortable. The parking permit was very useful.
A few groceries to make our arrival easier. Very good location, easy 5 minute walk to centre of Fordingbridge. The bathroom was nice, a washing machine in the kitchen and a small area at the back to sit outside.
