The grounds are amazing! The unique old building is totally worth the visit! The recommended stroll about the grounds was lovely. The food was so good it pleased us all & were unique culinary offerings. Stay for a few nights to explore all it has to offer!

Really nice room and lovely grounds. Lovely to see the Deers. The young lady on reception when picking the key up was great as well as the restaurant staff and bar staff. The food was fab too.

This hotel was really clean and well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and gave me great advice re dining options in the area. It was a very hot day and grabbed a draft beer from the hotel bar and took my dinner to my room(spoiler alert, I only got pizza). The bed was beautifully comfy, and the air conditioning nice and cold. I was jet lagged from my flight and fell asleep early, undisturbed through the night. I got up early to have breakfast before going home, and whilst the dining room was full, the buffet was well maintained and the coffee delicious. The staff moved about quietly and again, were very respectful and helpful. A surprising stay, but now it’s somewhere I would stay again when traveling.

Located on the A33 between Reading and Basingstoke the Wellington Arms is an ideal place to break your journey to either the South Coast or the South West if you're planning to go via the M3/A303. The rooms are both comfortable and quiet and the staff were all very welcoming/friendly and provided excellent service during our stay. Breakfast and our evening dinner were delicious and the bar and restaurant were both comfortable and an ideal area to relax and unwind. The Inn is pet friendly and our dog Flora accompanied us during our meals and enjoyed the garden and outside terrace.
