Ideal location for anyone attending functions at Caswell House. Looked to be a lovely location. Room facilities excellent albeit a small room, it was positively clean with a comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast choice with positive staff.
It's a good base for neolithic adventures. We climbed White Horse Hill and saw a couple of hill forts and a 'long barrow' burial mound. We spent the day with the best weather walking up to Faringdon Folly which has great views. There were maps for several walks in the car park in the town. We went to a pub with a fire and visited a lovely tea/coffee shop in the centre. Sadly, the brewery didn't serve food and I didn't have chance to go back and try the extensive range of beer.

Make sure the room detail on booking .com are correct as we were given a different room and told it was booking .com fault. We got it sorted with the hotel on the end, but could have done without the hassle

We only had time to visit one (fairly) local restaurant - the Lamb, and unfortunately (or just our bad luck!) the waitress got our order wrong and meant a long delay waiting for the main course. However, we didn't see much of Faringdon as it was dark.

This is a pub but the rooms are out the back, single story cabins like a motel. It is very very quiet and car parking is excellent. The address says Faringdon but the pub is not in Faringdon it is in the small village of Uffington. I knew this but others booking on the site might be confused. The cooked breakfast is traditional, well done.

We were unable to find anything to like in Farringdon.
We were unable to find anything to like in Farringdon. Sorry, but it's a dump. Apart from the supermarkets on its outskirts (should you need them) there is nothing to go into Farringdon for. Well, the chippy was quite good.

Lovely hotel, great location, good country walks nearby.
Lovely hotel, great location, good country walks nearby. Staff friendly and welcoming. Near small village town with some shops, pubs and take-aways. A very nice cake shop reasonably priced. Breakfast at the hotel was the same everyday which was disappointing, l understood they couldn’t have a buffet due to COVID 19 but l think they could have changed things slightly every couple of days, portion size quite small too and no fruit provided. Limited evening meal selection and quite pricey for what it was. Felt COVID secure in the hotel as everyone was required to wear masks everywhere apart when seated for breakfast, dinner or drink in the bar area and there were hand sanitisers sited across communal areas. All in all a very enjoyable trip apart from the weather, it rained heavily for the 3 days we were there!

The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived. The hotel has been renovated with a real coaching inn feel to it. Modern but in keeping with its history. We had a very large (superior) room, fantastic king size bed with a huge full length mirror and great furniture pieces. The breakfast room is stunning and the breakfast itself had superior produce and was so delicious - amazing value for money. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back soon.
A lovely room, with beautiful roll top bath and separate lounge. The tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided were really good quality. We were also offered fresh milk. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The evening meal and breakfast was lovely. We stayed here for one night while walking the Thames Path and this was definitely our favourite hotel so far. The food alone is worth a return visit.
My partner and I really enjoyed our room. Everything was really neat and confortable. Staff members were so nice and flexible. The room was also very cheap considering what you get and the area. I'd definitely go back if I had to stay in this area again.
A real plus was the Cowshed products you get to use for free, really loved this.
