Located in Elswick, 1.6 miles from St. James' Park, Clifton Hotel Newcastle has accommodations with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a bar.
Modern apartment, 1km from city! is a recently renovated apartment in Elswick, near St. James' Park. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge.
Parking was secure and only £5 per day.
Didn`t like location - too far out of City but serviced it`s purpose for my visit.
No tea and coffee facilities.
First floor noisy area until 10:30 pm.
Seemed to be few people hanging around unsure if staff or not - most friendly.

Although the area is not very nice, the accommodation is in a good location for town centre and the football stadium (15-20mins walk).
Unfortunately, the hotel manager was rude, unfriendly and abrasive every time we interacted with him. When we tried to exchange pleasantries with him, he said "What's this? 20 questions? I told you I don't want to talk to you."
I think this was because he was angry at us as we wouldn't be pressured into paying an extra £20 for the early check-in.

This is a basic, no frills establishment offering good value reasonably close to the centre. For travellers who just want somewhere to stay while they go out to other events. If you want luxurious rooms and facilities go elsewhere. The welcome is warm and the water pressure is low. You won't forget it.

This is sadly the worst hotel I have ever been to in the United Kingdom. The state of the toilet and bathroom was poor. Both bathroom and toilet are on different level from the bedroom and there’s no lift. I couldn’t stay and will never book this hotel again.
